When?

For my country this is on 1 Aug 2018. This day is not the same for all countries.
It's the day the country used up all natural resources without the earth can renew in 1 year.
This is for example in central America at the end of August 2018 and in Qatar in February 2018.
This means that Qatar uses much more natural resources than it owns.
Overconsumption increases every year, causing the earth overshoot day falls earlier in the year.

If the earth can no longer follow our consumption, are we doomed? Who knows ?

One Earth isn't enough anymore?

At the moment we need 1.7 planets such as the earth to provide us with raw materials.
According to calculations, this would be 2 planets by 2050. Half of the population will have no more energy.

The global footprint.
Many are not awake. How seriously should we take this?
There are companies that indicate on an online order what your footprint will be if you buy the product.
Not everyone takes it into account. And why?
Why should we do with less while others do not care about it.
One does everything to live as environmentally friendly while the other does the opposite.
This situation can't improve in this way.

Energy is a necessity but also has a consequence.

If you already know the Netherlands may be concerned about the sagging of the country by gas extraction from their own soils and creates huge holes!
How many years do we use oil. Millions of cars ,a lot of air and water traffic.
I tank 50 l petrol every week.
Multiply this with all cars on Earth for a year.
I did not know that there was so much oil under the ground!
Earth is being pumped out. It should be full of holes.
Can not this also be the cause of more earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, resulting in enormous droughts and floods in recent years?

Climate change!

I used to drive in the snow every year by car. I bought a new car 5 years ago and I
have never driven in the snow. There is a change somehow.
Our CO² emissions are too high.
Good for the flora but not for us. And this is a balance that is constantly changing.
Only we are not used to living in these changes.
The earth is saving itself, but life on earth is becoming increasingly difficult.
We are the cause according to specilists.
I will not deny it, but sometimes it also feels like an economic argument.
I 'm still neutral in this area, but the change is tangible.
Climate change is a normal cycle of the earth. Thousands of years ago this was also true.
We are not only the cause of this change in climate, but we are certainly accelerating it.

Science?

Scientists have done measurements at the poles showing (if we can believe this)
the North Pole is losing ice while the south pole is getting bigger. Why ?
They also say in plural ,the two ice caps are melting. This is the opposite !
Here it 's becoming warmer and drier and somewhere else becoming colder and wetter.
It looks like the south is moving north.
Shouldn't we call this climate movement instead of climate change?

Can we do something about this?

Nothing as a person alone, nor as a country. Maybe only if the whole world participates.
But I think this is a utopia.( I could be wrong).
Aren't we with too many people on earth?
Everyone needs their energy to live and our earth can no longer deliver this.
Where are we going to get this energy from.
This should happen outside the earth like the sun.
But we can't sufficiently absorb it (not yet). And if we could there will never be enough energy for all of us.
Wind energy is a terrestrial cycle and also changes.
If we are not allowed to use more energy than the earth can supply us, we get less and less energy per person as the population increases.
If we could consuming less and more efficiently, I think only the problem shifts to later.

-Wouldn't a birth control be helpful? What should the maximum world population be?
-Better efficiency of energy ensures that we can and will use more energy.
-With increasing population ,storing energy loss for later helps but it will also consumed.
