Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the US, affecting upwards of 40 million adults every year. In a study conducted by ADAA, workplace stressors were the leading source of stress for American workers; with 56% reporting that anxiety often impacted their workplace performance and relationships with coworkers.
Although job stressors are an inevitable part of life, there is a solution that can ease some of the symptoms: office plants!
A 2010 study by the university of Sydney found that the presence of office plants in a workplace led to a 37% drop in anxiety, 58% drop in depression, 44% drop in anger, and 38% drop in fatigue. Even just one plant per workplace does wonders to raise the spirits!
Plants are also known to reduce environmental toxins in the air. Research by Dr. Fraser Torpy found that office plants can reduce carbon dioxide levels by about 10% in an air-conditioned workplace, and by 25% in buildings with less ventilation.

Now that's a good post. I will have to look for the plants by comparing the pictures, names don't always translate well. I like this kind of post - bookmarked!

This is amazing information. I knew plants did a little but I had no idea they were specific to certain toxins. Great Post!

Plants might be more healing to elevate us from sickness, depression, emotional decline, maybe more so than that of medicinal tea. I eat from my gardens. I'm Oatmeal. Thanks for sharing.
