I wish we had a better alternative for toilets in general. The sewer/septic systems for waste removal in itself is insanity (don't get me started on water issues in the world, GRRR), and then you combine the toilet paper production ... the toilet paper I use is the best option I can find here, and bidets are certainly not common here! So even with a composting toilet, there's still that.
Tshirts are such a great ingredient for many different projects! I also have seen massive rugs made out of strips of old jean material. My partner Rabbit and @cassidydawn were actually talking a few months ago about doing a tshirt rug project here as well, but at the moment using up the collections of old grocery bags she got seems to be the focus.
Thanks for the response. I love hearing about what's going on around the world as people find ways to be responsible in their local areas. No matter what we leave a footprint, but it's refreshing and heartening to connect with others and know there are many more than we realize doing our part. Now if only we could get the "leaders" in this world to get with the program...
