RE: A KETOGENIC DIET MAKES YOU THINK DIFFERENTLY - wanna be a cryptomillionaire? start fueling your brain with ketone bodies

I have to make the sad confession that I've kinda stopped caring about my food intake over the last months... I am totally sugar addicted (again)...

thanks for this inspiring kick in the butt... my mind needs cleansing!

it's really difficult @fraenk. It's like nicotine or alcohol or any other substance which short circuits our pleasure-reward centres. Except food keeps us alive ! so it's no surprise that we are engaged in a constant battle to make healthier food choices. The food system is heavily stacked in favour of the bad stuff. It's composed of the killer combination; vegetable oil, wheat flour, sugar & salt. Delicious if combined in the right quantities and cheap to make attractive to the tastebuds ! keto is not for the faint hearted (literally) and I wouldn't recommend it without medical supervision.

there's a great story from the 1700's (can't remember where I read this) but it was long before nutrition was even a topic. A certain bright doctor had an overweight patient who just couldn't lose weight. The doctor suggested one less spoon of potato and one more of sausage with each meal. Apocryphal and badly paraphrased from a second hand source (you know me) but it seems it was an early adoption of the low carb diet.

Best of luck with it in 2018. savoy cabbage and edamame pasta alternative are excellent helpers !
