Dear friends and colleagues,
It may be awhile before I am able to post more images. The newest Microsoft Windows update had left me unable to effectively use my computer and I will be going through the enjoyable task of a full wipe and reinstall. Fortunately, I was able to back up everything important before this happened.
Tomorrow is my birthday and, while the only plan I had is for an interview in the morning, there are other things that seem more enjoyable than reinstalling...
But I'll make the best of it, and hope to be back online as soon as possible.

Thanks! Iwas able to use my nerd superpowers to back up everything that still needed backing up. One of those rare moments where DOS knowledge actually came in handy!
I've had that come in handy before myself. Sometimes it takes a minute or two for the brain to remember though.

same thing happened to my pc.
There are a lot of people having this issue, from what I can tell. You would think Microsoft would stop the update until they figure out the problem...

Thanks, Deb. I will have to find product keys and all that tomorrow, but I may try working on it at the coffee shop. It turns out, there's an incompatibility problem with my antivirus that theyknew about, but still had my system update. Microsoft is evil!
I just read a few posts where people had the same thing happen. Microsoft is not your friend. No. I use Mac. It's my friend. I used to use Microsoft.

Yikes. Our laptop cord died and of course we can't get a new one in Panama. But thankfully my parents are coming down in two weeks and can bring me a new one. And thankfully I had the pic of my password on my phone. But this old, slow laptop makes it where I can't post pics in a timely manner...
