Rohingya welcome Ramadan

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Listening back to the fate of Rohingya refugees in last Ramadhan, nothing is different from their daily life. Their holy month passes with the same limitations.

The status of "stateless man" is embedded in them, limiting the movement of refugees to simply survive. By pocketing the status, no decent work can be cultivated. The last option is to work odd jobs to keep the kitchen steaming.

Until Ramadan 1438 H (2017) then, UNHCR recorded more than 160 thousand Rohingya refugees living in Bangladesh. They are the majority of refugees who have fled Myanmar since the military operations of 1992, 2012, and 2016. The refugees are scattered in refugee camps at Cox's Bazar, Teknaf, or in rural areas of Chittagong.
