Omg what a story ! I am so happy for you ! I never got mine and gave up to be an Illigal Austrian alien in New York and finally left the USA with my ( American father ) daughter 5 at the time .
Immigration laws suck everywhere . I feel an "outlaw" everywhere since I left Vienna at 17.
I have learnt to find my own ways in every countries "underground".
I wish you lots of happiness forever !
Congrats. My fiancee (who is also filipino) and I are currently undergoing the immigration process as well. Only difference is I have been living and working in the Philippines as an expat for the past 10 years - time to go home. By December we expect to be back in the US. The only downside (aside from the time it takes to process) is you cant really plan for a formal and extravagant wedding ceremony. We also used a service to help us through the K1 application process.
