A little jewelry box

in #life7 years ago

Hi all, i built a little box today, I'll give it to a friend. I made it out of a piece of trim that I had left over from building a mirror frame and some thin plywood. Tell me what you think, I'm no finish carpenter, but I'm practicing.

looks great, what kind of finish did you use?

Thanks,
I used a wipe on stain and a high gloss poly urethane clear.

Looks pretty dang good to me.

Thank you,

A nice one, hope your friend has lots of stuff to fill it up.
I like it when people use so called scrap-wood to use it to the last bit.
The process of making something is more important then being always professional.

These are really lovely! I particularly like the leaves and curling lines on the sides of the box.
