I just got home from my Sunday workout session.
It went very well.
I did a lot of cardio and had some power left so decided to throw in a core routine.
A hard workout was needed because I indulged this weekend with a load of nice food and drinks.
I like Russian twist, planking, bicycle crunches.
After the workout, I thought I'd check my weight on the scale. It read 119.55 KG.
About 5 KG more than last time. Mmm.....
My first reaction: 'It could not have been this weekend could it!'
Of course not.
I'm getting slimmer, pictures proof it and I'm getting stronger every week.
Also, my stamina is increasing.
I'm beginning to become fond of a new exercise. Uphill 18% walking. It burns a ton of calories and I'm good at.
I think when it comes to cardio I'm more build for the heavy grinding exercises and not the ones that require a good technic. (like running, I'm stomping around like an elephant).
The guy on the right is 5 KG heavier. But he feels 10 times better and healthier.

Have a good Sunday everyone!

You can definitely see you've added muscle mass in your shoulders and chest area man. Who cares what the scale says, feeling better is all that matters. You're eating a cleaner diet and working out like an animal brother and you look in and feel healthier, that's the measure of success!
Great job man and you and Bianca have a great Sunday also!!
Thanks, man!
You have a stronger physique and the fat/muscle ratio changed for sure. What's your height? Based on the pics, I guess you are quite tall, hence your overall weight could be big even when ripped. I think if you would focus on dropping some weight while retaining(or even gaining a little) muscle could make insane changes in months. Aiming for like 85-95 kgs. To compare that to some people. Henry Cavill is around that weight and ~185 cm and he is really big as you can see in the Superman movies.
Check this video from Jeff about losing fat + building muscle. He says, with the optimal protein intake, you can continue to build muscle while losing fat. Great video and it's optimal for you at the moment. Probably the best trainer out there + he even trained Stallone(proof:https://www.instagram.com/p/BSFQ7AKj98U/). He knows what's up:
Plus choose some fat burning routine(+ of course, bench press, deadlift, squats, etc. to maintain the muscle weight):
Developing the habit and building muscle is the really difficult part, and you did a good job. Now you just have to be patient and lose some weight while maintaining the muscle you've gained.
Just my two cents though. Keep up the good work!
Interesting video. Watched it all. Thanks for sharing that!
My boy Jeff Cavaliere is the best trainer out there! I've been following his tips since the last few months and I feel great!
Thanks for focusing on your routine.
It is a stepping stone to where you want to be.
Be ready and keep on steemit.
Заебись...
Admire your progress m8! See what a mind is capable of!
Hi friends, you are looking awesome. Great job, is it very cold there, Bianca is on the hot wearing? Hi Bianca, how are you my sweet princess. You are the sweetest couple in the steemit community, Love you both friends, god bless you both friends, have an wonderful time together.
@exyle it has to be more muscle being added. With the work you have been putting in and the Pictures show that it has to be muscle. Just keep it up One day at a Time and Consistency............Now if we could just get STEEM to put on a lot of MUSCLE to the UPside !!!
That's always the case, at first we can not resist the temptation, we'll have all the calories, and then we'll run to exhaustion, that would throw off the excess. You're a fine fellow.
Do not worry @exyle, you actually become slimmer and all excess weight gains a smooth form. I also do not think that this can happen in one day off. More drive :)
nice post @exyle, well it's nice to see that you and bianca both going to gym that's great and no doubt your body looks alot better than your previous pictures and you say that you gain 5kg more weight then before well i think this is because you also gains some muscles especially on your shoulders and your shoulders looks a lot broader then before and i think that's why a weight little increased, well as long as you feels good and your stamina also increasing i think 5 kg won't matter much. enjoy your time and stick with your plans i hope you will get more good results soon. thanks for sharing
wow you are doing awesome friend, i think your weight is good and more good thing is that you are lot more in shape than your previous shots, that's something excellent, you are also enjoying your fitness and workout routines and that's what matter most, walking daily is also good activity to burn out extra calories, keep it up my friend and have a great day.
@exyle good work buddy, you a making some quality progress towards your goals. It seems to me that your posture is starting to also improve, which i'm assuming is coming from your strengthening of your core muscles.
WoW.... awesome photos of your after workout, and you now better handsome with your fit muscles. I think walking is very good exercise burn of lot of calories. Good Luck & have a great day @exyle

This is important, too many ppl think that weight loss is everything. But good weight is better than bad weight, so yeah.
That's a good way of looking at it.
Excellent progress!
Muscle is heavier than fat so 'swapping' them will look different on the scales. Like you say, the proof is in how you feel!
Don't worry about the 5 KG weight, your body looks stronger than the previous one and workout is actually working for you!
all power to you dude. keep going, keep it up. i miss my regular swimming. i'm sure i'll get back to that once @dayleeo get's here! :)
You are doing a great job buddy
Gaining weight while exercising sounds interesting
keep it going buddy
I dunno. I ain't the kind of guy that tries to put a downer on anyone but I think that 5kg could be the headphones...
Only kidding man, you're doing awesome!
LOL! Problem Solved!
You're gaining but gaining it in the right places. That's what matters the most. Being heavy isn't a problem, irregular or unequal heavy is. Keep posting man. I'm getting the motivation, lol.
the right side is looking more good even its 5 kg more that's not a problem i think because its the muscle gain :) keep working hard and go on and on :)
Few more weeks bro and you will start to see packs on your abs. I wish I could also do this but I could not.
@exyle,
Weight is just one scale of health measurement! But 5 Kg more weight need to be concerned as well! Any I could see the progress from your photography! You gained the fitness, and body looks healthier than previous photos. So, I think this is okay. Anyway scales can be wrong ;) Better try another one!
Cheers~
Gym is awesome but it gets tedious fast! I started hating my gym sessions so now I don't feel pressured by routine or time. I just go and do something focused for as long as I feel doing it. The most important thing is to just get your butt up and go there. Good luck!
You are right. Bad exercise is better than no exercise!
That is a definite improvement, muscle is good!!
Do you have some body fat monitors in the gym? Then it is easier to identify the cause of body weight increase.
You certainly look very good! But almost 120 kg, that almost twice my weight!
But you are feeling better and you certainly look very strong and healthy so I think it's alright.
Believe me, I have to get used to it too, lol.
that must be muscles indeed! we know indeed that muscles weight more then fat :) you are training hard for it!
There are some devices out there that can measure your body fat. They're far from perfect but they can give you a better idea of your body's composition than weight alone
have a good sunday
top postinge top
Very informative @exyle, i myself do workout too but what i do most is morning jugging, it really in clear my head, you should also try that too.
Getting them gains!
excellent, your hard work and progess shows in the picture, keep it up friend.
5kg only of muscle is not quite possible in the span of one/two months. You'd need to have some insane muscle tear and insanely faster regrowth. Let's just hope that a good amount of that 5Kg is not fat.
Keep it up.
Nice you are getting in shape, keep it up.
that is my goal to keep myself healthy.. :)
Huge biceps are an unattractive-uneducated-underpaid man's last attempt to be seen as worthy of dating, or, sleeping with. ☺☺☺
I have many new post. Please Come to my blog again @exyle
its really very good job........go ahead.....you will be win
Muscles are weight too ;)
@exyle - Sir, no matter what scale says, I can see your progress of body look. Its the important thing Sir.

How do you balance your nutritional intake with your workout routines? Nice post, thanks.
Its Amazing thing and no doubt your body looks alot better than your previous pictures ! :) what a great change :) so fast :D
Do not worry @exyle, you actually become slimmer and all excess weight gains a smooth form. I also do not think that this can happen in one day off. More drive :)
You are losing fat and gaining muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. As long as you feel good, I wouldn't worry too much.
dont worry i can see your progress.... may be your muscles or should have grown which is a good thing :)
I am like
