Sightly nervous for Bianca's Dutch test tommorow.

in #life6 years ago (edited)

Tomorrow is an important day.

Bianca will have to face the first 3 out of 6 tests to show that she has integrated in the Netherlands.

It's a test that anyone that wants to live in the Netherlands must take (except if you are from the EU and some other countries).

Mainly it's important that you can speak, read and write the language at a certain level and have some knowledge about the country.

She is doing well, but she's very nervous for tomorrow. (listening, reading, knowledge)

I asked for a picture with us while she was studying but for reasons I don't understand that wasn't allowed so this older one has to suffice :)

I'm terrible at spelling and I can't be more grateful growing up in a time of word processors. (without those my posts would look horrendous, or would take an insane amount of time looking things up in a dictionary.)

I doubt I will be able to help her in that department much but I do have some knowledge about my own country or so I thought.

She showed me a test of 40 questions and we went through it together.

Most questions were fairly basic and easy but some....had me puzzled....

Like this one.

Question: You are waiting for the bus. The bus arrives and you see the driver is a woman. What do you do?

  1. Tell her she shouldn't be allowed to drive.
  2. Wait for the next bus.
  3. Nothing.

If I'm honest it never occurred to me I had options...:/ (It's sort of funny...but it's not really...)

Or this one.

Till what age can you bring your kid to a consultatie bureau (some sort of clinic)?

  1. 3 years
  2. 4 years
  3. 5 years

I didn't even know what a consultatie bureau (some sort of clinic) was or why you would take your kid there. I had to look it up...

I asked my dad later to see if he knew....he had no clue either. (thank god).

In the end I got a 35/40.

Anyway.

It is an important day and I hope she will do well tommorow.

I'm proud of her and she been working hard.

Tomorrow I will bring her to the place and then it's up to her.

Good luck meu amor!

That is because he never took you there, I did!!
Many times we went there, they check if the baby is okay and growing as he or she should be growing etc.

BTW: I know Bianca will succeed! She writes beautifully Dutch.

I am sure she will do well for the test... wish her good luck!

Keep your courage Bianca. You will definitely pass. Be cool. A brave man Mark is with you always. So Don't worry. Thank you @exyle for sharing the day.

Thank you!

Thanks, meu amor it's always easier with your support.

Just a small correction: not everyone needs to take this test, apparently just people from emergent countries. Americans, Canadians, Australian, etc, don't have to ;)

Oh that's why and yes I know of these tests it can be extremely nerve racking for anybody.. as to fail can mean many things I am sure this is just as important for you @exyle all the best of luck to Bianca and that question with the lady driver.. what the hell?

I had similar test when I applied for US citizenship. Silly questions! Of course I passed, but I was nervous before test as well. Just like Bianca is. I’m sure she will pass.
Fingers crossed 🤞!

She will! Thanks!

I'm proud of her and she been working hard.

GODSPEED Bianca! Prayers that you will breeze through this!

God's best for both of you.

Peace.

Best of luck Bianca! I know she will do well!

Thanks!

Good luck tomorrow @bkdbkd we consider you already as one of us!

If it wasn't for spell check, I would be royally screwed. :-)
Those questions are kind of funny, in a sad twisted way.
What is a consultation bureau anyway?
If I took this test, and most of the questions were like this,
I think I would fail...

It's a place where they check your kid every month (to see how he's growing, if everything is alright but also for vaccines if you choose so) but also for questions you might have as parents..

Really? Haha... I didn't see that coming.

me neither :)

35 out of 40 points seems good. You've integrated well in your own country 😁. Good luck to your girlfriend at the test!

Question: You are waiting for the bus. The bus arrives and you see the driver is a woman. What do you do?

  1. Tell her she shouldn't be allowed to drive.
  2. Wait for the next bus.
  3. Nothing.

my answer is 3... LOL

Till what age can you bring your kid to a consultative bureau (some sort of clinic)?

3 years
4 years
5 years

My answer is 4... (^_^)

She can do it with the help of God...

good luck bianca, het gaat je zeker lukken!!

In your previous posts you mentioned one or twice that Bianca had been studying for this. I am sure she will definitely pass the test with flying colors. Good luck to her :)

I wish Bianca good luck! I hope you do well on the test, try to concentrate and not get nervous so you do not forget anything, if you get nervous and you forget something to try to calm down breathing slowly, she prepared for this test so you will do well!

There is a similar thing in Britain and I used to always think, surely that would be easy but it is similar in that I think a lot of British folk would fail it!

I heard the new royal lady had to take that test to and many brits failed some of those questions.

Good luck Bianca! These kind of tests make me laugh, most of the knowledge isn't really relevant to everyday life

The writing, speech and listening tests I do consider important. The knowledge test is questionable :)

I'm sure she will certainly pass the test.

Mark @exyle I think that Bianca @bkdbkd will ACE the Test. Not to worry she knows this stuff...........

Oh yes, my friend, similar tests are now being arranged in many countries and sometimes there are questions that lead us into a dead end, although in everyday life we do not pay attention to it. I want to support Bianca in passing these tests and wish her luck, together you will succeed! Thank you Mark.

Ya great story .Resteemit done dear.

Hello my dear this is a humble gift for you hope you accept it and like it
https://steemit.com/@soufianechakrouf/a-gift-for-exyle

It is normal brother to be worried when exam is fast approaching, I know you will be more worried than your wife writing the exam, it is normal and nature for feel good for someone will love. I wish her success, she has passed already believe me, you will tell me later.

Wow nice one @exyle but theres nothing wrong for a woman to be a driver,
Keep steeming!

I guess exams are universally designed to test useless knowledge :))

Good luck to go through each stage of his brother, smooth and successful yes

Interesting test, know some people who did it to in order to stay in the Netherlands! goodluck to you both.
very wierd questions indeed.

be quiet dear friend @exyle, everything will be fine for your lady, you will see how tomorrow is finally accepted in your country

Heel moeilijk :)

She will pass!!!!

No doubt!!!

Good luck Bianca

All the very best to her.She sure will pass it very nicely.

Naturally if a little nervous in the face of such a test, but I think it's not a problem. I hope he can finish it well tomorrow, as he has prepared for it.
Like @exyle

Succes Bianca! ;)

Good luck Bianca. By now you might already be taking the test. If that's the case I hope it's going well!

@exyle. We have similar tests here and there's not way I would get 35/40 on them. Some of the history is really obscure as are the political questions. It seems mad to me that new citizens have to know way more useless information than the average national would.

Most of it would not help someone live a better life here anyway. Who the hell sets these questions?

it will be great for sure i am hopeful and all the best to her :)
