I was in the gym today when I received a message on whatsapp.
The message was send by a unknown number asking for server passwords of a doctors office I used to work for.
I just couldn't believe it.
Even though I don't work in IT anymore and even though this person (John from company X) might be 100% legit there would be no way I would ever send passwords just like that.
It just makes sense to me. So why ask?
I'm pretty sure they have all the passwords at the office anyway.
I told him he should ask the owners to contact me.
Funnily enough being in the gym lately reminds me of my old work.
Often when I go there is a new surprise on the screens they have in the gym.
It always makes me giggle.
This one is especially nightmarish!
lol, I rather look at red markets on coinmarketcap!
I sometimes wonder when I will be truly free from my old life :)

Thanx for Info .. :-)
I've given up at checking at market as well, but the windows repair thing, oh man.....
Yea I agree seems a little odd he would contact you directly regardless of you setting him up he should have the owners contact you but then again they shouldn't be contacting you whatsoever, haha those screens, well you better keep a lid on it @exyle or the gym owner will be asking you for assistance hehe.
Mark @exyle You must take "The Red Pill" if you Truly want to be FREE......
You matter how much you trusted that person, releasing password is really delicate, it is not something to joke with, if something goes wrong you gonna be hold responsible , you have done the best. Enjoy your day at gym
You did well not giving out that password even as you no longer work there. That's professional. My folks are telling me to hit the gym to gain some muscles. I might pay a visit to one someday but not now. Lol
Lol, at least now you can smile with no weight on your shoulders! :0D
Yeah! It's a blessing!
That is pretty funny. I think it would drive me nuts! I always love it when you are out in public and someone has a kiosk that has taken a dump and is very publicly displaying how much it sucks :) This is still the type of stuff that I deal with every day though!
Eventually, it will get less and less, but sometimes it comes back to haunt you! LOL My old life does and I haven't worked in it in 22 years!
22 years! O lord I hope not!
When people find out what you used to work at, they always look for free advice...
I suppose you'll always be reminded of your old life at least @exyle. As long as there are screens to break down! 😁
hahaaaaa, that might you a whole while before that will entirely stop.
Maybe up to years even, that the companies will think 'call that guy, because he knew what he was doing'
but giving passwords over the phone..nehhh never
makes no sense right!
lol, at our office we have a system to show al kinds of messages. But the only message which is showing for some week now is a BSOD from Microsoft :P
By the look of those screen shots there could be a year's membership in it for you for an hour's work. 😎
I think I rather pay for the membership :)
Probably 1 year from now this will end and then you are free.
Another solution would be to get a new phone number.
😉
Probably never be free of your previous work, that happens when you do things right, despite being removed from the companies they always remember the good work done, as for the password request your answer very good.
I wish you a great day dear friend @ exyle /
Thanks man! Have a great day yourself.
Great post..you can never escape your old job as long as computers are around, which they will be forever. If ever your old customers reach out to you just keep advising and helping them as much as you can. It is just good human virtue and your karma will be fantastic- they say what goes around comes around :)
I'm losing knowledge. So won't be able to do it forever.
We're having email issues up at work, and I keep reminding the boss that I'm no longer the tech support. We have people on monthly retainer for that mess now! LOL
Lucky you :)

The best thing is that in the gym the atmosphere is that happy and peaceful. Nice place, bro
hahaha but what horror makes me want to repair those pc.
At least you feel comfortable in the gym and that is a plus point.
Synchronicity!! 😉
The atmosphere in the gym is very nice
I love sports a lot
A really wonderful photo that was well published
Thank you for reminding us to work out. It is always that i feel much better after working out in the gym than prior to going to the gym. However, i just want to share with you that i paid my membership to a fitness center in October 2017, and i never went to work out. That is too bad. This message might wake me up and decide to go back to gym.
Oh that surprise just when you're concentrating exercising, Windows Error Wild appears to notify you that something is wrong lol
Looks like you job loves you haunting you down every time hahah
