They have over 2 million subscribers on both their youtube channels.
That's nuts! But also insanely cool.
I guess that's what happens when you put famous content creators with a lot of followers on a blockchain without many parties roaming profits every step of the way.

According to Weiss, the big move up that we have been seeing is primarily driven by big-foot institutional investors tiptoeing into crypto.

This is actually great news, because one of the powerful, long-term bullish arguments for cryptocurrencies hinges on them starting to compete with stocks, bonds and other conventional investments.
As I write, the market cap of the entire crypto universe is only about $346 billion. But global stocks ($80 trillion) and bonds ($215 trillion) are presently worth a combined $295 trillion. If merely 1% of that money crept into crypto, it would still multiply the value of the average coin a whopping 8.5 times!

Weiss rating is realising the power of blockchain, they have a lot of criterias to evaluate all the projects, but most importantly they are starting to believe in crypto, that´s one of the reasons they have so many Bs too.
I had no idea that stacking money would make so many kilometers, fortunately I understand very well this big numbers, but your explanation has a lot of logic and looks useful for people who get´s confused with millions, billions, trillions...
When one big personality reach this community the "boom" will be insane! The best part is, if you are reading this we will be able to watch this madness and make a lot of money with it.
That's exciting....8.5 times the market cap! With just 1% invested....That makes my head spin. So much potential...

The switch from Youtube is happening. Just like the switch from FB. I never used those two platforms so I really can't say too much other than I was always worried about their privacy policies. I like being paid for content. They don't pay. It i a no brainer!
That's interesting @exyle, the big institutions getting in. I liked your analogy of the $100 bills it helps to have a visual of those big numbers.

I noticed that the most people who started making videos on DTube became more famous and earn even better. The most of them were the same people who wrote blogs before, but DTube helped them get more visibility. They also get high upvote from DTube itself and I find is awesome :)

From Weiss report, it’s a very good news. If institutions are getting involved at this price, it means that they think it’s cheap. The are not stupid, they pay huge money to get information.

I can tell you my personal story @exyle I was quite a ‘big’ youtuber on the italian fitness community, I was generating good traffic in terms of views on my channel, but payouts were simply ridicoulous, way much disproportional compared to the time and energy I put in creating my videos. Then Dtube came out last summer and I signed up on Steem...I think that in the coming years a lot of content creators who want to make a living from their passion will definitely leave YouTube for Dtube. The same goes for other bloggers who don’t even get paid a penny to post on Facebook or Instagram.

It’s amazing, there is some more work to do on the platform and we need more people on board but the development is constantly improving, it is one of the most promising and disruptive projects on the Steem blockchain.

It is wonderful that STEEM can maintain its B- ratings on Weiss and even more positive that Bitshares attained its B ratings also. I'm excited about the tiptoeing of powerful names buying up cryptocurrencies gaining a huge marketcap. Upvoted!

I switched also to d.tube. Because they banned my account for no reason! Boykott YouTube guys !!!
Dtube is 100x better than youtube. I made the switch after being terminated 3 times for no reason. The only thibg thats better on youtube is all the vids you upload play easily, and there are currently more people using youtube. I hope this changes in the future. I also hope dtubes creates a better app than youtube

It's no surprise if they earn more in DTube. Youtube is not very generous when it comes to rewards. Lucky for those who switched to DTube :)

Your explanation of the difference between the Twins' revenues between YouTube and DTube isn't really accurate @exyle
The Blockchain didn't reward them by itself. The Whales actively intervened to upvote them massively to ensure they see the potential of the system. If not, they'd be the same as any other plankton or minnow uploading to DTube for the first time.
The hope is that they will then go on YouTube to talk about this great new platform "DTube" and bring their followers here. It's active, indirect advertising by DTube.
However in the future, when the landscape is more even (fingers crossed), the blockchain will work as you said.
