Out of the 3 things I have done with my SBD in the last weeks buying STEEM was by far the best one.
Since yesterday the price of STEEM has gone up around $2 when the Weiss Ratings news hit.
If you don't know yet, Weiss Ratings is an agency that has rated 75 cryptocurrencies and STEEM is in the top 5.
This is great news.
Of course, we already knew that this Blockchain is amazing. (3-second block times, no fees, scalable...just to name of few) but for investors not sure what to invest in this rating gives confidence in the blockchain and that's incredibly important.
There are so many different projects out there and this rating will act as an investment guide.

in my recent post about why i love steemit and steemians i did reiterate using what my people usually say that if you play any tune in a compound of a great man, there is always someone to dance to it. steemit has good, bad, ugly and when money is involved, the humn nature as you rightly pointed out sets in. but hey, its also good for the system to point out the ills and fight it out so we become the best we are destined to be as steemians. heading to your blog. great comment

Steem has kind of got me hooked... in a good way..
I find it a good challenge. The more I learn and unravel about how to use this platform correctly, the more I find myself wanting to spend here. Yeah, it's a tough line to balance between decentralization and power abuse.
The biggest indication for me is simply that people USE this crypto. The platform is brilliant, the community is fantastic....Sure there are problems but long term, I see a huge future.

Yeh it was great to see Weiss take into account the fundamental strengths of STEEM and just how much it's REALLY used. It's still way undervalued compared to other crypto but it's nice to see those ratings give the price a nice boost in the right irection.

Absolutely. The network capacity and transactions being done blow everything else away. It's not just a concept in progress, we have a working product. That is really rare in the crypto world right now.

I agree. There is value in utility and having proof of concept utility. I would hope more investors will be interested in the Steem platform and see what other functions we can add to the platform.
I think the more projects we get up and running the more it will go up. People will have way more opportunities to get exposed to it the more applications are built.

Great to see Steem get a solid score from a reputable source like Weiss Ratings. With the massive amount of projects in development right now this in my opinion was much needed in the space. For being "newcomers" I am pretty impressed with their report overall to be honest.
I'm also impressed by their report which is similar to my point of view on all these cryptocurrencies. I'm glad they came into helping potential investors in the crypto markets. We are getting closer and closer to the trillion marketcap, mass adoption will come in the near future.
This is great news to me, but I've been wondering what they used as tool to rate these coin, putting Steem and NEO up.
Yeah...Steem would be awesome as you told before. Now steem was top 5 list in cryptocurrencies. Steem buying best way. Also Users can still buy and trade Steem tokens as easily as they would any other cryptocurrency, and because they are also rewarded for contributions and commitment to the network over the long term, there are major incentives in place to help keep Steem stable.
It is the only blockchain that people really engage with every day.

This is huge news to us. Steem gives up best features currently of no transactions fees, three second immediate times etc...Steem is changing the way we use social media, by allowing users to earn rewards for their active participation. By putting an incentive behind interaction, this technology is creating a thriving community where quality content matters. We also waiting to see more gaining pass over $10.
This is exactly what we need, some exposure. Most of the growth here has been word of mouth, wait until we get some serious media stories...

A positive review by an independent organization legitimizes Steem as a bona fide means of trade, but now we need confirmation by another. History will eventually be the ultimate judge and right now it looks as though time will be on our side. It will be a bumpy ride, enjoy! Let's make history!

Damn...I was hoping it stays low-ish for a few more months so that I can buy more steemit at such an incredibly cheap price.
Then again, considering the long-term potential of steem the current price still looks incredibly cheap. Just thinking about the fact that steem grows organically on Google and other search engines as more quality posts show up is mind boggling. It is only a matter of time until this snowballs!

It will become bigger and bigger as soon as people will hear from it. If we all tell our friends family and spread the word about steemit in 1-2 years there will be huge potential. The steemit dev team needs to catch up as well with fixing the bugs and improving the platform overtime.

Sometimes it does not need more than a catalyst to keep things moving. I would however want for the price to stay low for a while in order to being able to accumulate more Steem.

Yeah, it has definitely made me take another look at it. I never read up on it because I've kind of gotten burned out researching all the coins I want to invest in. There's a lot out there!

I'm pretty sure we will see steem on top 10 again one day! We have one of the best and most active communities and there are a lot of eco systems developing around the steem blockchain, like utopian, dtube, dlive and dmania.

One should realize that Weiss is new in this business and without any experiences. So their ratings should be used with caution, even if they are supporting our opinions.
Personally I do not know if it is really beneficial to push STEEM/SDB currently even more. Maybe a more consistent and slower increase in price would be preferable, especially at there is no unique opinion on how to treat SBD-Dollar parity.
I got a better confidence in steem compared to other crypto since steem and steemit has purpose and that is to motivate bloggers and articles writers to post quality content. In short, it's creating a community which in later part will definitely be rewarding.
