I'm pretty chuffed tonight.
A couple of hours ago I received a message that my mom's operation went well and she is recovering.
Woohoo!
If all goes according to plan she will be released from the hospital Friday afternoon.
I'm hoping I can pick her up in the morning when I'm done with work on time.
The moment I got the message I could feel the worry slide off my shoulders.
Funny how that works. It's almost instant relief followed by tiredness.
I actually took a nap, something I rarely do nowadays.
I took some CBD oil to relax even more and dozed off for an hour.
I should actually do a follow-up review of the oil because it's great stuff.
I think much people more could benefit from it and I believe it's much cleaner than any prescription drug.
Everytime unrest happens in my personal life I'm reminded I should enjoy life consciously when everything is fine.
I often forget this until something like this happens and you instantly long for that time when everything was still fine.
The same goes for health by the way.
When I get a bad case of man-flu, I sort of forget what it was like to be healthy straight away.
Life is just less fun being worried or sick.
But tonight I am mentally and physically fine.
This is cause for conscious celebration!
I'm just not sure how yet because it's a Wednesday night, the most boring day of the week, but I'll figure it out :)

Glad the surgery went well. The stress of anticipation and worrying about everything that could go wrong can be overwhelming. We tend to mentally prepare for the worse with things like this and then a calm hits us when we realize that the worrying was for nothing.

When something happens to loved ones, you are always very worried. The main thing is to have faith in the good, then everything will be fine. Health to your mother and you all.

Wow. Very good news. May she go from strength to strength. I know what it feels like to have a family member go through that. Nothing is more important than family. Hope there wasnt any complications. I am happy for her. Wish her speedy recovery. The pains might still be there for a while, but that is a temporal reminder that we should be grateful for living. Good to hear it went well. Was thinking about what you said about enjoying life consciously when everything is fine. I'm the same way. I get so wrapped up in the drama, feel all the feels, expect the worst and then everything turns out fine and it's like it immediately erases all the emotion that you had up until that point. Strange.. I read once that something like 80% of the stuff that you worry about never happens. So I guess we should start worrying less, show gratitude for what we've got and vape a little more CBD. Sorry... random musing.

I had a similar experience of a loved one in hospital fairly recently. Once you know they're safe, and you can stop worrying (at least a little bit), the tiredness hits you.
