More energy! And more chicken!

in #life6 years ago

I think I am finally out of my slump.

Less grumpy, more energy :)

Although not enough energy to go the gym alone today! (Bianca is working).

So I decided on a home workout.

The first time I got in shape (6 years ago or so) I bought a bunch of weights and got good results with just those.

It's easy to workout at home.

Just change and get to work!

This is part of my kit (I got a whole bunch of different disks and bars).

It's not even that expensive and weights once bought will last you a lifetime.

It's cheaper than a gym membership in the long run that's for sure!

After the workout I grilled more chicken.

This time on the green egg with different spices to keep it from getting boring.

Having chicken in the fridge works perfectly.

Easy as a snack or in a salad (chicken is a good protein source).

It's turning out like I expected.

If it's there I will eat it.

Food is getting a little less enjoyable than normally.

It's more a source of nutrients now than something you look forward to (like a pizza!).

I'll soon will be looking for new meals.

I'm always open for ideas!

i have noticed when i eat greasy food, i have less energy overall throughout the day.

Cool! It is great to have a workout at home.
No people throwing dumbbells and barbells on the floor.🏋️‍♂️

Haha! I never really saw that happen in the gym where I go.

Great, well stay away from Basic Fit in my city.

Nice way to enjoy your work out by listening music. High protein diet is must after work out. Great going @exyle

You could try making healthy variants of pizza by urself encrusted with chickens, veggies and all your favorite trimmings.Try making fun smoothies for that quick glucose fix.Goodluck on your fitness journey.

Thanks!

@exyle While chicken is a great source of protein, don't forget to allow yourself to splurge at least one day a week to throw off your metabolism. Just don't overdo it. Have a good steak one day instead. I had a nutritionist tell me this. And there are lots of fun ways to make chicken. I've made a "mock" fried chicken in the oven if you ever crave fried chicken. And then there is the cilantro-lime chicken. Yum! I am so glad to see you are sticking with your plan and your goal! Keep it up!

I recommend you eat Arepa traditional food from my country
If you eat 1 you eat several

That looks great!

It looks great and its flavor is delicious. You can fill the Arepa with whatever you want.

Good for you!! ✊💪 The chicken looks yummy!! Add in some broccoli or green beans.... shiz-am! Right on @exyle! It looks like you are on a good 'self-care'track!! Awesome!!

Some basic rules that have stuck with me ...

  1. "Plan to only have one serving of carbs per day" ... think about it ... If you are going to have toast for breakfast, then that's it ... but if you want to have a hamburger that evening, skip the toast in the morning, if you want to have pasta for lunch, skip the bun at dinner.
  2. It's OK to feel hungry. It really is a first-world statement, but we do not like to feel hungry. If you feel hungry between meals, have a large glass of water.

At the end of the day it's always the same ... Calories burned must be greater than calories consumed. For simple math, beer or wine is 200 calories.. So 30 minutes on a treadmill at 4MPH is roughly 1 drink

At the end of the day it's always the same ... Calories burned must be greater than calories consumed.

The best logic!

I'll soon will be looking for new meals.

I love turkey and salmon just as much as chicken. With salmon it’s very easy. Using pepper and salt only. First I put sliced potatoes with onion and some vegetables inside the oven for about 45 minutes and then I put salmon on top of it for another 15 minutes. All in glass oven pan covered with aluminum foil at 350f. Turkey takes much longer, but it’s delicious as well.

Sounds great! Thanks, man!

Check out the recipes from Belgian chef Sandra Bekkari, amazing how good healthy, protein rich food can taste! It has helped me!
Zeker haar eens googlen, honderden goeie recepten van haar te vinden!
Succes man

Thanks, man! bookmarked.

There is nothing more rewarding than overcoming depression, gym is a good place to do it, chicken is a good choice for a diet, however fish is another option, it provides many benefits for our body, fiber, phosphorus, protein .
I wish you a great day dear friend @ exyle /

Meat and weights - That is like the holy grail of traditional workout routine.

personally I havn't worked out in while and would have to start soon or fear turning into lumpy mass of tissue in my chair :-) Still I had some fish and bread today

Seems like you are getting into a great eating and exercise routine....keep it going. For other sources of protein you can try different kinds of fish, boiled eggs, beans, lentils and even mushrooms. I always find good video recipes on youtube :)

Thanks!

Yeah why not do a home workout if you cant get to the gym its been often said its one of the best things you can do and all you need is the weights which you already have its cheaper than a gym membership for sure @exyle

The Chicken Looks Real Good and I like Slicing the Chicken to make sandwiches with the sliced Breasts Mark @exyle

You must certainly change the recipes to not get bored of the same, but I think you do well! You're trying hard to get in shape which is great :D

That chicken looks really good!

Home workout is great, my friend and you are right, exercising at home you can save money for the gym hall and at home you are your own boss. Chicken as a source of nutrition during exercise is an excellent thing, a little fat and a lot of protein, an excellent approach! Well done, go on! Thank you Mark.

Doing some excercise to keep you in shape and fit is a nice thing to do, and i also like the chicken recipe it looks really delicious to eat

It looks you are seriously connected to your goal.gym at home is a good decision.if yu cannot go to gym don't skip exercise do it at home is a best idea..

Doing everything by our own satisfies for sure ! Great going.

All right friend, exercise at home is practical, economical and saves time ... Combining exercises and good food, results in good and healthy life.

It's easy to workout at home.
Food looking a bit tasty

I like your food selection idea, i know you like food and make many varieties of food that you share sometimes with us . Foods photography looking very testy and crispy and your photography also looking cool, thanks to share homework day and enjoy the meal with Bianca.

wow its amazing....want to do also at home ............gym is best place where you can get good shape but we also can get this at home............and i like chickennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn OMG...........tooo much

It is good to get in shape like seriously, having some time to gym will put your body in good condition, physically. More chicken, more fat. I like chicken; most especially on fried rice.

yes, very fond of chicken meat because chicken meliki enjoys a very fat and delicious, and I really like the post @exyle.

Chicken on the green egg looks quite tasty @exyle. Does it stay nice and moist.

Do you have a slow cook pot. They're dead handy for making stew type meals you can eat with rice or noodles. You just chuck everything in in the morning and it slowly cooks away. It keeps the meat really moist.

What about kedgeree? That must be high in protein with smoked haddock and eggs? Some recipes say to add cream but we never too.

Glad your energy slump is a bit better.

That chicken looks incredible, good exercise and good profit.

wow I love chicken, and that looks delicious, home training is good when you know how to do it, congratulations are on the right track, exercise and eat healthy.

You have good reason to acquire objects for our health are good investments and in the long run they save us coins ... Follow your training! Good Life!

Chicken love ❤😀😀
@exyle

It's cheaper than a gym membership in the long run that's for sure!

@exyle, Yeah that's true and we can save money without going gym & buying gym parts. Home gym activities freely can do. But better one take advice from gym adviser. Then you can keep better healthy of your body. You very nearly reach your goal with exercises & eat deserve foods. Those foods really delicious looks.

Chicken's has more cholesterol when I saw @exyle. But grilled one better for burn extra calories of your body.

I'll soon will be looking for new meals

It mean is you decide to change your meat's dishes to vegans. Like to see your next to see your new meal.

Grilled chicken after a tiring home work out. That's sensational. Chicken doesnt cause obesity and is a good source of protein. Moreover homework out is easy and earns u something. Makes u lose calories. Keep on getting in shape. You 'll.do it.

That was much needed after a great workout now you are getting in the routine : )

The chicken in the green egg looks great. My brother moved to another country and left all his weights here. I could use them but I'm not a weights person hahaha

Chicken is good in thousands of ways!

Remember to reward yourself once in a while, otherwise, it does seem boring and monotonous. It is much easier if you have the cooked chicken and I also have veggies and healthy dips in the fridge to snack on. We like pizza but really don't have it very often so when we do it is a real treat. But the funny thing is, now I really don't miss and when I do get to eat it, it doesn't hold the same fascination for me...but if I went to eating it weekly, I think I would develop the taste for it again!

i love those gym accessories they are soo love arent they ? 😍

The chicken looks awesome! That is how I feel about vegetables a lot of the time. I eat them because they are there and I know they are good for me, not because I actually enjoy them. I bring cucumbers and peppers cut up for an afternoon snack and I usually find myself struggling to choke them down. I told my wife the other day I just really don't enjoy eating them. It is more of a "have to" thing. Sometimes I bring some hummus to dip them in and that helps :)
