It won't be long before Bianca and I will make our way to Brasil.
And because most of the family was actually in the Netherlands we decided to give a small diner to see them all before we go.
I wanted to to light up the green egg for the event but Bianca really wanted to make them a traditional Brazilian Dish.
And I guess considering the place we are going much more appropriate for the occasion :)
She made a dish called Feijoada.
And they loved it.
Including this guy!
It was nice to see them all before we leave.
Only 10 days to go.
I must admit I'm pretty excited about the whole trip.

Feijoada with the family is a landmark in Brazil! Great taste! Very beautiful, this feijoada looks Brazilian food really!

I live in a country near Brazil, Venezuela, and sometimes we prepare feijoada. It's a typical bean and pork dish. Very delicious. Good thing your family liked it. Sure, you'll have time, when you're in Brazil, to put on several dishes of typical foods from there. Enjoy your meal!

I like the taste, but I hate beans, so everytime I see myself facing a really good Feijoada. But I know it´is not the same... at least that's what they all say.
Haha interesting to see Sam enjoy the feijoada so much @exyle and to be honest as a kid I hated the stuff and couldn't understand why adults liked it so much, Brasil time is getting closer how exciting eh.
Wow look at that food, it looks like a Jamaican dish called stew peas, made from red peas or some would say red kidney beans with salted beef, very thick and then we would make rice to go with it, so it would be stew peas and rice. We all eat the same food but maybe prepared differently, enjoy it. I see the baby is having quite a feast, travel safely!

Good to know your future NES buddy likes to eat! But how could he not like that dish. It looks amazing. I love Brazilian food. If you get a chance and I am sure you will, make sure to go to the all you can eat meat places in Brazil. Churrascaria, I think they are called. We have them here in the United States and they are awesome, one near me is called Rodizios. So the Passadores (meat waiter) just brings around different kinds of meat and asks if you would like to try it. Oh and the grilled pineapple is to die for, probably my favorite thing. I am jealous you are going to Brazil.

Ooooooh feijoada! Only people that dont like feijoada are those that never tasted It.
If you are coming to Brazil, you should visit Salvador and eat an Acarajé. Or a moqueca.
A Lot of tasty stuff here in Brazil.

Feijoada. Yhis is a famous Brazilian dish if i may not be wrong. Well Bianca made it really good as evident from the picture.
