Steepshot released a new version. here.
For those who do not know, Steepshot is an Instagram type app for the Steem blockchain.
It works on iOS and Android.

You can now upload more than 1 photo at a time and create a in app slight-show for your followers!
They also implemented push notifications and a much needed voting slider.
Personally I think Steepshot is slowly becoming one of the best apps on the blockchain.
Why?
Because it works well, it's simple and it's fun!
I can see people using this app without ever knowing about steemit.com for instance.
It's also an app that in my opinion would benefit a lot from an SMT in the future.
I would love to use the app more often and upload more photo's but i'm limited because everything I post is also displayed on my Steemit blog.
SMT's will solve this.

I´m starting to get addicted to Steepshot, and I´m not a type of guy that usually post photos, now I see myself always looking for interesting moments to photograph and bring it to the community.
Why do you feel this would be better with an SMT?
This is my reason for hesitating with Appics. I understand that it's an SMT, but I don't understand why to add another coin to the list when there's an existing application using a known coin.
Hopefully, I am missing something obvious.

Appics can now add value to their own token and build a community around it. Just like STEEM it will be a tradable token so it will get a certain worth on the market.
If they used STEEM they would be stuck with the same people trending as on steemit.com (is 1 reason). They also need to acquire (if not delegated) a big stake to have influence on their own app (is another reason).
I can think of a few more (might make a good vlog topic).

I didn't think of reason number 1 (trending). That is reason enough.
don't forget it has also a desktop version, though it doesn't get the same love yet and it is still in alpha version. I think it has huge potential and I love that it has a full screen option:

When you load up a photo on Steemit when posting, does that same photo can be set up to go onto Steep shot automatically?
Not 100% sure what you mean. I hope this helps:
Steemit.com displays everything that you post under your account on the blockchain. (every app included).
Steepshot will only display what you posted in their app (and what your friends posted in steepshot).

I'm using Steepshot mostly on my mobile. It works like a charm, it's professional with layout and functionality. For me the best 'add-on' app for the steem blockchain. Without a doubt.

I made this account @felander and then also @photolander which i have the posting key saved in so I do not mix and match since this was a big issue for me as well. So now I open steepshot automatically on my pic account

I just got the new update, thanks for making me aware of it. I've been really impressed with Steepshot so far and it's going to be interesting to see what happens when Appics launches. If Steepshot keeps developing at it's current rate it could provide some serious competition by the time Appics launches

You could create a separate account just for Steepshot and mention about it in your main blog. I'm sure many would follow you with their alt accounts made for SteepShot haha ;)

That's an interesting concept. It needs to add all the filters and fun bits that makes Snapchat so popular, then it would have a real chance of taking off.
I presume it just posts the photos directly to your Steemit blog as an article?
I do sometimes worry about sharing my posting private key with these apps. I think Steem needs to have more granular permissions and different keys for all the different functions.

My cousin uses Instagram a lot. He is like almost addicted to it. He uses it even though there is no attraction of earning money in it. There is an entertainment factor that is keeping guys like him hooked. If steepshot can create that magic then there is no stopping it from growth.
Yes I love to use steepshot but the main problem is that my posts are also displayed here after posting on it. This may be too much for my followers because they wanna read some good blogs not the photos coming one after another like we do on Instagram.
what you can do is create a separate account for photos, you can promote it on your current blog.
different apps are different portals into your steemit.

Thanks for the information. I think it would be fine if you did 3 posts a day. I would worry less about the autovoters and more about the community as a whole. I mainly only ever see Dtube on steemit.

I found Steemshot app on Playstore and I downloaded it and got registered wit @steepshot. I wasn't aware of Steemit by that time, I am glad I found a wonderful community through it.
its most widely used now people are loving the experience on it easy and awesome :)
In near future Steepshot is going to be more appreciable by not only Steem Users but the users of outside will also like it even more.
