Using Crypto Currency to travel

in #life8 years ago

Since we have been using STEEM, Bitcoin, and other crypto currencies for travel for some time we felt it was time to mention this here on Steemit. Using crypto currency requires some forward thinking and additional thought, but by doing so can allow you to travel at lower cost, and more often if you use some additional tips.

Bitcoin has been the most useful, and has been tested with the following ways.

1. Using debit card from Shift or bitpay

2. Buying gift cards for a particular services.

3. Using online travel with cheapair.com

4. Bitcoin ATM's when you have no other choice but to use cash.

5. Using Hotels.com to purchase hotels and as a reward system.

6. Converting STEEM and SBD into bitcoin also has supported, and financed some of the interest earning to continue moving forward.

Our favorite App is Gyft.com and we use this daily, and for all kinds of shopping. There is another App called Gyfter, and we use it for a few items that the other does not have. We have also heard of some success using the Game Stop gift card to buy other gift cards inside the store. We have asked Walmart management about using their gift card to buy other gift cards and they said yes. However Walmart prevents us from buying more than $10 on the Gyft App.

Now the major thing about using these kind of services to to buy with bitcoin while at a high and when it's priced in fiat currency such as USD. Now the next step is to begin buying directly using a payment system, and we believe Japan will be the best place to test this .

As we have been training and explain to others world wide for some time; you must have a way of replacing the bitcoin used or better yet a system of your own creation that could be a mixture of robotic trading, manually trading, cloud mining, platforms and more. No one thing should be used but a network of several ways that allows you to keep building, and growing your seed over time. Diversity and as much automation as possible since you will be out and about seeing and meeting new people.

Our system uses all of these and even a few more. Maybe we will talk about that in a future post. If we see enough interest on this subject here we will explain in more detail, and with our real life examples.

Thanks for a nice post:)

Thanks we really appreciate it.

We are big advocates of the mixing of crypto currency and the travel industry. This can help small businesses around the world, and spread real international economic growth.

I would like for us to test out using bitcoin or others to pay for the scuba portion on the next trip. May take some research.

If the hotel accepts Bitcoin and you have the hotel pay for the scuba then it should be possible.

an equal say, you say? eat the whales! feed the shrimp!

I would love to hear more about how you are growing and adding to your crypto investments while traveling around.

Thank you for your interest and we will continue adding to this this subject.

I'm looking forward to it. It's always nice to hear about how other people are going about doing this.

Thank you and we will add more information on the topic.

Very interesting article. My brother was just asking me yesterday how we are going to use the bitcoin we are accumulating.

And please add me to the list of people who are really curious about how you are generating your cryptocurrency. Here in Ecuador (where we use the US dollar) we worry about what happens to our economy when the US dollar has its inevitable breakdown. Please share whatever information you can. Thanks!

Thank you for reading. Ecuador is on our list of must see places. We are looking forward to more places down there accepting bitcoin. Okay we will create more information on the subject.

Hey imagine hiding a crypto currency wallet key into binary code written or carved into a cave wall! LOL Imagine people discovering it thousands of years in the future and being able to find the cae carvings in binary, convert them intoo a wallet seed password and get some ancient bitcoin!

Will bitcoin stiill be around in a thousand years? Like will youtube just exist forever now From here on out will everthing just be saved and arrhcived?

if we ARE in teh matrix then ONLY digital media and digital things iek bitcoin are of any real value as all our paper money or gold is all just bit of 0 and 1 in a computr code simulation! but teh blockchain ahs to be emulated onour virtual mahiens so the blockchain stille xists even outside the matrix if we donlive in an ancestor simulation!

We have also thought about this, and compared the concept to those ancient cave in France. "Imagine people discovering it thousands of years in the future and being able to find the cae carvings in binary, convert them intoo a wallet seed password and get some ancient bitcoin!"

I just had a peek at Gyft.com. It looks interesting.

We are very into it, and it has supported a higher quality of life on certain trips. Since we make and gain bitcoin frequently.

i plan to get back in to international travel after returning home and starting a failed homestead. luckily i found some crypto dust i had stashed away in different wallets and now it is actually worth something. i should have never stopped investing in crypto when the markets were down. hope to spread the gospel and good fortune along the way.

It's great to find this post and I hope everything has gone well for you.

We travelled the world as a family for 2.5 years via the sharing economy.

We home swapped our way around the world, now we are trying to merge the sharing economy with the connection economy!

Inspiring post, these are early days, but it will become natural to travel with nothing but Crypto!

We hope you like our project.

Stay cool

Dan
