Lisbon and Steemfest was a very hedonistic holiday for me. A week of booze, food, unhealthy snacks and smoking, excessive of everything delicious but very unhealthy. And, I loved it! I feasted in the feeling of indulgence and I was prepared to face the consequences that are now upon me. It’s time to get back ftom the high and in to the normal day to day life, ugh..

Caffeine, alcohol and salt are known to be very diuretic, and I never really drink water.. oh the drought I feel and see in my body.

I just stocked up the fridge with mostly green things, which I do really like, even though I love the unhealthy foods too. I’m only drinking green tea and lots of water for a while. I sature my body, hair and face with various lotions and creams. Wish I could bathe in coconut oil, but I don’t have a bath.

I’m suffering from some very intense withdrawals, both mental and physical, from having too much fun! How many of you can relate?

Ps. I promise the Steemfest posts are going to end soon and I will give you the usual naughty Eve.

Sort:

I’m with you! After last week I’ll need a good detox... and I’m definitely ready for the usual naughty Eve too... (although all Eve’s are pretty damn cool to me)

"usual naughty Eve" 😜 It was good to see your travels and Steemfest through different points of view from our fellow Steemians. Glad you had fun. If they have the next one in the states I will go.

Thank you! I did try to show a little something different :) I'm hoping for Steemfest in the States too, it would be a great opportunity to come there.

One thing for sure. There are not such thing as too much fun Eheheh. But it is good to be healthy

"Detox" is a placebo and a myth :) Enjoy.

Eating healthy to feel and look better is a myth?

No, the idea of detox :) It mostly works thanks to placebo effect.

That is correct. The body gets rid of waste constantly and automatically. There is no buildup of waste needing to be addressed by consuming any particular substances. The only form of medically valid detoxification that I've heard of is chelation therapy for toxic metal poisoning. In it, certain organic molecules are used to bind with the metal ions to be removed from the body which molecules (chelates) are expelled by the body.

”Actually..” 🤓

You guys are so annoying, don’t take everything so literally, especially when reading anything I say 😝

Didn't you like our informative ... ducking for cover

Congratulations post you deserve our appreciation.

we will wait for a good post from you @eveuncovered

THANK YOU HAD SHARE TO OURS

Best wishes for you

haha once in a while it's ok. But you sure need some greens after. After my birthday the other week with lots of alcohol I'm eating so healthy now trying to rekindle the balance :)

It's all about the balance! :)

I get that feeling of "social hangover" after any bigger get together.
Longing for the usual Eve! (:

I get social hangover just by hanging with one friend for a couple of hours :D
I'm trying to give some "normal" Eve tomorrow :)

Great post my friend well done:)))))

This is good change ..... This looks very healthy !

I’m really trying to be healthy for a while 😩

lot of chocolate yummy.

Don't tempt me!

I am hella strict with my diet lately, it has been 2 weeks without sugars in my diet and the constant exercising. I can already slowly see the transformation. No doubt, resisting is tough but I am persistent and hopefully, I'll get the result I want. Good job. Perhaps, check me out at @explorernations if you love food and travels :D

yes i can relate. to both. always the way after events of any kind, reflection rolls over you and those connections you make with people are important. i'm glad not to be feeling tired and drunk thou back to back, one can only deal with that so much you know? :)

Even if being a little tired and in need of some quiet time after Steemfest, the good definitely outweighs the bad 😊

absolutely, memories. we gotta have memories to look back on! get those greens down ya! and be well and rested! :)

Although I couldn't go to steemfest, I know the feeling of coming home from such uplifting events quite well. Just home from a trip to Austria with the openings of two group exhibitions I participate in. Its really nice to meet "the family", artists and collectors from different countries. There are always some new folks too and we had a really good time as well!

Back home in zero-motivation-for-work-mode... should at least do a steemit post. Tough times with the Rocket in winter storage and a big pile of work staring at me. I think I should poison myself with a big cup of coffee for a start..

I'm glad to hear you had a great time, even though I really wished I could have met you in Steemfest.

We definitely have the same kind of feelings right now. Let's drink some coffee and tackle the tasks at hand :) I'm gonna knit a beanie and try to work on some pictures later :)

Going to steemfest and meeting you there in person would definitely have been a highlight for me! Was there any talk of where the next one might be?

With two double espressos, a good blast of Funky Destination and a big piece of my mother's apple strudel, I could at least make myself post another Tarot card...

How's the knitting going?

I heard rumours that is would be in the States, but nothing concrete.

Ah, apple strudel, I would love some!

The beanie is done, and so is two hours of napping too.

US... out of my (motorcycle) reach :-/

Beanie looks great! Can't believe how you create something beautiful with everything you do.. even a "simple" photo like this one. Love the way you always hold your hand like that!

You might need to take your bike on to a plane ride!

Aww, now you are being too kind! Hah, can't help it, the hand likes the attention!

Excellent post, I invite you to visit my blog

Thats a whole lot of greens!

Sadly, I didn't get to go to SteemFest, but glad you had a good time.

I can totally relate to the withdrawals... I used to go to a lot of spiritual and self-development retreats and used to call it "retreat brain." There's something euphoric (and slightly addictive) about being around a group of people who are all deeply entrenched in a common ideal; when you come away, the rest of the world feels slightly "colorless"... and people around you can feel almost like an alien species who just don't "get it." And it's especially true when you're an introvert/loner type of person... at least that was true for me.
