When someone has a dream he visualises himself at the top of the success ladder without the hard work and persistence that this fantasy requires to get there. We want the result without the costs of the in between.
Somehow people ended up thinking that life owes them. That from one day to the other they will have everything, without pain and effort. All those cliches about “think positive and success will come” and “imagine what you want and the universe will bring it to you” made us chasing a pain-free life that will never, ever reward us. 'Cause life doesn’t work that way.
I know many people-including myself-that dream of their life being like this and that and guess what? The universe just doesn’t give a shit of what we want if we just lay in our bed dreaming. Success will not knock your door all of a sudden if you don’t act. It’s not the universe that ignores you, it’s you that you don’t actually care.
You cannot want the benefits without the costs.
Life is not rainbows and unicorns. In order to reach what you want you will have to confront a bunch of difficulties and failures and you may need to start again from the beginning, to alter your plans, your ideas, to be persistent and MAYBE you will get where you want. If you want something so much, you will also want the costs of it. You will “enjoy” the struggles of it.
That’s why so many dreams have been thrown in the trash. Because we were in love with the outcome and not the process. And always remember that; “no pain, no gain”.
No pain no gain! Keep doing your thing no matter what and you shall be rewarded! Don't care about anyone's support and you shall receive it.
Exactly!!! Just support what you aspire and one day you will get there! :)
True!
Thank you! :)
What is easier to market ?
Dreeeeeeeam and universe will rain money or work your ass and get rewarded ?
Of course the whole positivity and universe story is easier to sell! Who wants to sweat in order to gain?? The majority doesn't.
you feel that you "deserve" something when it is a result of hard work
Exactly! And of course luck is always welcome but we cannot build our whole lives based on luck.
Well said, couldn’t agree more!
Thank you so much!! :)
Very well said!
Συν Αθηνά και χείρα κίνει! :)
Ήθελα να το συμπεριλάβω αλλά δεν έβγαινε στα αγγλικά με τίποτα χαχα
Plus Athena and your hand move! :P :P
hahahah αριστούργημα!!
Αν έπρεπε ντε και καλά να το μεταφράσουμε, ίσως αυτό είναι το πιο κοντινό:
along with god, move your hand (even though I believe move your @ss makes more sense! :P)
hahaha I think that one is much better! :)
No swearing, there are kids on steemit xD
I totally 100% agree with you, you either fight for what you want, or you won't be able to do it, no one in this life is going to give you anything for free, not even the universe!
I was once like this, expecting life to give me anything without me sacrificing something, now i know better, i sometimes have to sleep 6 hours or less because my work gets in the way, sometimes it's steemit, sometimes it's studying.
I am not afraid to fail, because i know if i fail i will learn with that failure and i will grow as man, as a human, as a living being in this universe.
(hahah sorry kids don't tell your mum :P )
The key is in what you said about failure.. Not being afraid to fail gives you more freedom to fight for what you want!

"So many dreams have been thrown in the trash. Because we were in love with the outcome and not the process to get there." => This could be a very nice quote. One quote, that I also really like and suits this post very well, is => “The elevator to success is out of order. You'll have to use the stairs... one step at a time.” by Joe Girard.
Excellent quote!! That is so true!! Thank you for your inspiring comment! :)
