On our planet there are more than interesting places that impress us and encourage us to want to visit them. Many of them due to their visual appeal, others due to their history. These special places show us that the creativity of nature and man in some cases, can leave us little pieces of paradise, which we can enjoy in our world.
This is not a top, it is a compilation of places that I consider impressive, and I want to share with the community.

Blue Grotto – Malta.
Malta is a small mediterranean island, most notable for its limestone reserves.
However, today it surprises us with this spectacular marine cavern called "Blue Grotto". This is a series of six marine caves located at the foot of the cliffs in the southwest of the island. The attraction located near the village of Zurrieq, is one of the great tourist attractions of the Maltese coast.
As a curious fact, I tell you that the director Wolfgang Petersen used it as one of the stages for filming the movie Troy.
Tulips Fields - Holland.
Yes, all those colors you see are tulips, which adorn the fields southeast of Amsterdam.
The first tulips that reached Holland in 1594 came from the hand of the French botanist Charles de Lécluse, coming from Turkey. These fields can be found between the cities of Leiden and Haarlem, as well as in the Keukenhof Park, the largest floral exhibition park in the world.
The best time of the year to see the tulip fields is during the month of April.
Antelope Canyon, USA.
The Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon from the Southwest of United States.
According to Wikipedia, it is located near the city of Page, in the county of Coconino, in the northern state of Arizona. This canyon is located in a reserve of Navajo Indians. In fact, visits to this canyon must be made with a Navajo guide.The geological formation has been pierced by the passage of water currents through a process of epigenesis for thousands of years, and its walls reach 40 meters in height at some points.
It consists of two separate formations, individually named as "Upper Antelope Canyon" and "Lower Antelope Canyon".
Caño Critales - Colombia.
This piece of heaven is located in the Sierra de la Macarena.
The river is also known as “el río de los dioses”, “el río de los siete colores”, “el arco iris que se derritió” or also “el río más hermoso del mundo”.
Due to the aquatic plants of different colors that reproduce in its background, the river is very attractive visually.
The small circular wells "giant pots" that characterize the river bed have been opened by minerals of great hardness. When one of these hard mineral fragments falls into one of the existing cavities, large or small, it begins to rotate, rubbing against the wall of the cavity and increasing the dimensions of the well.
Salar De Uyuni – Bolivia.
This salt desert seems unreal, and attracts some 60,000 tourists a year.
With an area of 12,000 km², the Salar de Uyuni is the largest continuous salt desert in the world. Located to the southwest of Bolivia, this salt flat is one of the largest lithium reserves in the world.
It has about 11 layers of salt between 1 and 10 meters. The upper part has a thickness of 10 meters. Its total depth is 120 m. Every year they visit around 60,000 tourists, which makes it one of the most visited sites in Bolivia.
It is the legacy of a prehistoric lake that dried up and left a desert landscape of almost 11,000 square km of bright white salt, rock formations and islands with cactus.
Hidden Beach, Islas Marietas - Mexico.
Also known as "Playa Amor", the tourist attraction is closed to the public, due to the environmental deterioration caused by its tourist overexploitation.
The island is of volcanic origin and its shape is due to thousands of years of marine erosion. The only way to get to the beach is by swimming. To access you have to swim with diving equipment for approximately ten minutes through a tunnel that finally takes you to the beach.
In 2008 it was named "Biosphere Reserve" by the UNESCO.
Hitachi Seaside Park - Japan.
The attraction of the place is the great variety of flowers with which it is covered.
Formerly United States territory as a military base in 1973, Hitachi is now home to thousands of different flowers, each with a specific season to see them bloom.
The explosion of colors that cause its floral diversity, makes Hitachi Seaside Park a unique place, with a huge visual appeal.
Cherry blossoms in Bonn - Germany.
The German city of Bonn is home to this colorful floral arrange.
Decorating in the spring the street Heerstrasse in Bonn, this floral arrangement, to the tourists and residents of the city, the experience of wandering through a world of flowers.
The cherry trees in the center of Bonn are pruned so that the branches can not be easily reached. This protects them because, if they were at a lower height, they could be the target of souvenir hunters.
Blue Lagoon - Iceland.
This geothermal spa is one of the most visited attractions visited Iceland.
The spa lies in a lava field at Grindavík on the Reykjanes peninsula, southwest of Iceland. The temperate waters of Laguna Azul are rich in minerals such as silica and sulfur and their temperature averages 40 ° C (104 ° F).
Geirangerfjord - Norway.
Protected by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site,Geiranger or Geirangerfjord receives more than 600,000 tourists each year.
Along the fjord there are many waterfalls, such as Syv Søstrene («Seven Sisters»), Brudesløret («Bridal Veil») or Friaren («Pretender»).
The unique natural environment of the area was created during the last glacial age, when the glaciers carved the deep fjords and shaped the high mountains.
With 15 km in length, and a maximum width of 1.5 km, Geirangerfjord is one of the largest and most prominent fjords in the world.
Red Beach of Panjin - China.
Its characteristic red color is due to a local species of silt called marine sargadilla that covers part of its soil.
This nature reserve is a key habitat for migratory birds en route between Asia and Australia. It is a place of refuge for 236 species of birds, of which 30 are protected species.
In spring, this place has little to call attention because the algae on the surface remain green at this time of year, causing the same effect as the grass. In summer, however, things change because the seaweed begins to dry out due to lack of nutrients and loses its green color, acquiring a much more pinkish tone that turns into an intense red in autumn.
Vaadhoo - Maldivas.
Also called "The sea of stars", the island of Vaadhoo owes the characteristic brightness of its waters to a phyto-plankton known as dinoflagellate.
Carmen Opausia, from Harvard University explains that: the phenomenon occurs thanks to a natural chemical reaction that occurs when, at low tide, the plankton from water accumulates on the shore and comes in contact with oxygen from the air.
This show can be seen during any time of year.
Tepuyes, canaima - Venezuela.
These flat top plateaus are only found in La Gran Sabana and some areas of Brazil and Guyana.
Declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1994, the Canaima National Park extends over 30,000 km² to the border with Guyana and Brazil, because of its size it is considered the sixth largest national park of the world.
Whitehaven - Australia.
The island is known for its white crystal silica sands and turquoise waters.
The island can be accessed by boat, seaplane and helicopter from Airlie Beach, as well as from Hamilton Island. The Whitehaven Beach Ocean Swim is a 2 km open swimming competition held on the beach in November of each year since 2009 as part of the Hamilton Island Triathlon.
There is a rumor that the sand on the beach may have been used to make the glass used in the Hubble Space Telescope in the 1970s. However, NASA has not yet verified this claim.
Tromsø - Norway.
Once again a Norwegian city surprises us, and is that Tromsø is one of the privileged places where you can see northern lights.
Between the months of September and April, green flashes are drawn in the skies of Tromsø, leaving tourists and residents who enjoy this experience.
An aurora borealis occurs when an ejection of charged solar particles collides with the Earth's magnetosphere. This "sphere" that surrounds us obeys the magnetic field generated by the Earth's core, formed by invisible lines that start from the two poles, like a magnet.
