Persistence is the catalyst behind the blossoming of success in a person’s life. It is the sole reason there is such a thing as a diamond, it is by persistence through the immense pressure that a diamond springs to life. Rising from the dirt to being one of the shiniest and most expensive stones in the world. The diamond is a true illustration of what can be achieved by persistence.
They say most people fail at success because they give up and give in to pressure. Which is true because pressure is there in the first place, to shape you into becoming who you were meant to be. Turning away from that is doing injustice to yourself first and foremost. That is a certain path to mediocrity and to being just another average being (excuse the pun). Why be average when you can fxxkn be YOU, the best YOU, you can be?
Some people give up because of a single failure and never want to try again due to the fear that they might fail again. So they decide to fit in and be like everyone else who chose to be average if that’s you no problem but if not then you owe it to yourself to fxxkn persist through it. Disappointment is something that no one enjoys but it is only a trick because disappointment is temporary. Life will go on after a disappointment but you choose whether this is the end of the road or you will move forward again.
Choose to give up now and I promise you can look forward to a disappointing future full of discontent. That’s the major magic trick, disappointment will disappear only for now as you’re caught in the self-illusion that you’re satisfied with being average. Until one day when you’re older, the pink elephant in the room decides to make itself visible to you and you’re struck by the biggest regret and disappointment of your life. As you reflect and realize that everyone who you knew that didn’t give up has gone in a different direction filled with happiness and satisfaction.
We should not focus on the negatives we encounter such as disappointments, rather we need to focus on the positives of the future that often only we see and use that as our motivation to carry on moving forward.
There are two versions of yourself in life – the one who worked hard and made it; and the one who made excuses and procrastinated. When it is too late to turn back and that moment of self-reflection comes up later in life which one would you rather be? Based on your answer to this question then your attitude in life should be dictated by that answer.
There are many roads that lead to different locations but we always stay on the one that leads us to our destination no matter how long and tiring it is because it’s the only shortest way. Such is the way of life.
