First Real Post, Hello there!/I Don't Like Communists

in #life7 years ago

First off, Hello! this is my 3rd blogpost to Steemit and probably the first one I've put solid thought into. I'm Grant, I'm just a salesmen from Dallas that reads too much. I'll be starting this blog to 1) gather my thoughts on different things I'm interested in 2)hopefully be insightful or entertaining to those who read it and 3) See if anyone would even find what I have to say interesting! I'll be typically talking about philosophical things this post is obviously not that but I've been obsessed with morality and what it is, and how one derives meaning from certain aspects of life. Enough about me though, I hope you all enjoy what you read!

I think that if you are someone who is active on the internet that uses it for more than just Facebook and the occasional google search, you've probably seen someone advocating for "social justice." This so called "social justice" is a surreptitious term that is generally used in reference to what the radical left is fighting for, or what they claim to be fighting for at least. Upon examing the group of activists that call themselves "social justice warriors," I have found them to be following a philosophy that aligns with what's I've seen referred to as cultural communism. My reasons for thinking this is that group identity seems to be a paramount. Don't take my word for it, you need only listen to the activists ask men questions that are completely ridiculous and divisive. Notice how they act as if all men are a homogeneous group that all think the exact same.

Men are not individual but a collective to these ideologues. From what I can garner, there seems to be a hierarchy of victimhood based on things like your race, gender, sexuality, and other arbitrary standards. They've taken words like racist, sexist, nazi, as well as other words and used them so much that the words actual meanings have been diluted. Now when people hear these words in the proper context they scoff, and think "yeah I'm sure he was racist, like that time when you called the president of Yale racist for not banning "offensive" costumes." This does not seem like a recipe for inclusiveness and respect. This seems like a group of people that have been completely infantilized. They treat people they deemed as "privileged" with a self-righteous sense of contemptuousness, throwing demands at them like dogs whilst calling them racist nazis. Look at this video where you can see the racist actions their own side allows when talking about white people.

The way these two men seem to be okay with what she's saying is disturbing to me. I'd like to play a game with any self proclaimed social justice warrior reading this. When you say something about white people, replace white with black, and if it sounds racist to you, then you've probably made a racist comment about white people. To say that all white people are anything is absolutely fucking insane. I'm sure there are racist white people, as there are racists from every race. Americas history doesn't mean that we are inherently racist nor does it mean you get to make demands from us. To close I'd like to share a quote by Adlai Stevenson II, he said "It's far easier to fight for principles, than to live up to them." Whilst in your attempt to fight for the ending of things like racism and sexism, you've let yourself stoop down to the level of actual racists, sexists, nazis and other social issues. Friedrich Nietzsche said "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you."
