No, it was wonderful in November. There were not many tourists and it was easy to hop on a boat ride etc. without waiting. It was very mild when I was there, so all I needed was a warm sweater or light jacket in the evenings. I caught the first Christmas Market then too, and it was magical. That's the one on Vörösmarty Square - Budapest Christmas Fair and Winter Festival. The one by the Basilica doesn’t open until December. Because I was staying with my son, he knew his way around , so after the first couple of weeks I bought a public transportation pass rather than using the hop hop off buses. Mostly I just walked everywhere though.
