Stop underestimating yourself!!

Truth is, most people have no idea what they’re capable of until someone comes and shows them just how capable human beings can be.

It’s amazing how people are able to only see the worst side of themselves. We are often caught in a race with the ideal self that we want to be, that we don’t see the good qualities that we have to begin with and we don’t see the progress that we are making toward our ideal self.

The sky is large enough for everyone to reach and shine.

Even though, you are not the best in that aspect of yours where you find yourself be it your academics, business, movie industry etc. You need to achieve the goals you have set out for yourself.

Are you still feeling inferior to that person just because they top you?

Take solace in the bare fact that your brains are differently and uniquely configured by the supreme to differently perform and be good in different tasks.

The big question is how can you stop underestimating yourself?

  1. Think back to all the times that you succeeded. I'm pretty sure there were such times. Note them down. This will serve to reinforce the fact that you are capable of great things. It’s just that you tend to forget them.

  2. Start trusting yourself on little things. If you can do this one little thing, then you can do that other thing that’s a little bit more challenging.

  3. Constantly engage yourself in activities that test your limits.
Don’t think you can dance? Take a dancing class and stack more evidence on top of it.
Don't think you can continue, take that next step and cross the finish line; it can't be too hard.

By doing this, you start building up your positive can-do evidence which you can withdraw from anytime you need to do so and at the same time taking down those negative underestimating evidence and thoughts.

Remember: Do not compare yourself to other people. If you think about it, it doesn’t make sense to compare. We all come from diverse backgrounds and none of us lead identical lives.
Always believe you can do it.

Thank you and have a beautiful week ahead.

I love this, I struggled a lot with this sort of thing in my teen and younger adult years. One of the most detrimental things you can do to hinder your own success is to compare yourself to others. Admire their work and use it as your inspiration to continue towards your goals and become better!
