I do think they have their place here too, and I do use them sometimes.
What people need to have is self-awareness, don't be promoting massively trash content. It doesn't make any sense to ban bots, what we can try, as a solution, is maybe a tighter control on what type of content can/should be upvoted. (and that requires hard work).

If bots were banned, the believers in STEEM blockchain would keep upvoting themselves and between each other, and many others would leave the platform and take their profits.
