The WHO (World Health Organisation) is warning about a drug-resistant strain of the highly unpleasant STI Gonorrhoea doing the rounds. The cause of this has been linked to both a decline in use of condoms and more people partaking in oral sex. The usual treatment of a course of antibiotics is no good in this case as the virus has become totally immune.
For years the WHO have been warning that due to the nature of Gonorrhoea and it's ability to adapt and evolve it was only a matter of time before a completely untreatable version came our way. There has been 3 reported cases of people who have contracted this type of Gonorrhoea but it is estimated that there is many more who don't realise they have it and may be passing it on this very moment. - Think about that for a second.
The reason given for oral sex being a contributor to the spread is that it can live in the back of a persons throat and thus greatly increasing the potential for spreading the disease. The declining use of condoms is attributed largely to the misconception that HIV is no longer a real threat today rather than the reality which is that it's just more treatable and so less deaths occur.
Even the director of the Global Antibiotic Research and Development Partnership, Manica Balasegaram, is very concerned about this new strain and stressed that without some new revolutionary medication the prospect is very "grim".
Thanks for the warning your post is great thanks a lot for sharing and keep on posting ;)
It's a great concern. Though not life threatening yet, it is highly debilitating. Hope new drugs will be in the market soon to combat the situation
Another reason why picking up girls at the club is a bad idea.
