Porn may be uncensored, but political tweets are more frequently resulting in bans and shadow bans on Twitter.

You get backlash from users, but that is not in itself censorship, that's just the fact that we have a fairly small community and everyone gets more or less the same things on the front page. There is no Twitter front page so someone who doesn't like porn is very unlikely to see it by accident there.

What's different about Steem (not SteemIt) is that anything, no matter what you post, will always be permanently enshrined in the blockchain and will always be available to see in some way, no matter what the people at SteemIt Inc think or want. The same is in no way true on Twitter etc.
