Visually, this film is incredible. The mountain on which the movie takes place and the actual train track was built especially for this film, and all of the cinematography is stunning. Plenty of different camera angles and length of scenes help keep the feel of the movie very claustrophobic and the costume design helps keep the rustic feel of the film, which was very refreshing and nice to see, as murder mysteries are quite rare in cinemas nowadays, especially 20th centruy ones.
