For 100 days, I'm going to publish a plus-minus hundred-word post a day on Steemit. These 100 posts will be the insights, routines, and habits of living a better life.
I’m not any meditation guru or expert, and I have to thank Headspace.
I’m interested in learning how to practice this mindfulness routine for long and been seeking ways to do it right for sometimes.
There are many ways to do it, but I love what Headspace taught the most.
Meditation is not about controlling your mind and thoughts, but controlling yourself.
Because you simply can’t control your mind, but you can control your reaction to any thoughts that appear.
Stay still, allow your mind to wander and your thoughts to arise. Let's imagine you are sitting beside a busy street, all the cars are your thoughts. All you need to do it to sit still, acknowledge the cars that pass by, but not chasing over any one of them.
Do this for 10 minutes a day with conscious breathing.

I might add that it is very easy to fall asleep if you are little too relaxed :)
