Two new additions to my Funko Pop collection! Nux from Mad Max and a cool Chase Edition Vault Boy!

in #life7 years ago

So, recently I've been going around and exploring local comic book and card shops, as I didn't even realize we had a few in my area. While browsing around the one comic book shop we stumbled across a little wall of Funko Pops which was surprising. Within the wall I found quite a few I was interested in, but as I'm sure at least a few of you know these little figures can be pretty pricey. So, I ended up only grabbing one from the wall which happened to be these really cool Nux figure from the newest Mad Max film. The details on it are phenomenal, especially so for a Funko Pop figure.

As you can see they got all of the scarring and marking on him correctly, and they've even made sure to include his missing boot. But that's not the only thing that they've done correctly on this one, as after I was checking it out I noticed they even made sure to include his tumor buddies that are on his shoulder/neck, Larry and Barry, which he affectionately named after he found them.

In addition to this cool Nux figure I also scored a rad deal on a limited Chase Edition Vault Boy funko pop. This is from the Dorbz line of pops, which is seemingly where I keep being able to score deals on the rare versions. This is supposed to be the rooted version which has the Vault Boy with his lower half mutated into a tree, but instead we get this bandit/robber style which makes it a Chase Edition. They are 1/36 to get, and usually they end up being vaulted by Funko where they don't produce them anymore after a certain amount of time has passed. So, they're pretty damn cool overall!

I'll be leaving this one within its box since it is one of the more rare/collectible of the figures I own, much like I've done with previous Chase Editions that I've found. I've already got quite a few Vault Boys now anyways, so that isn't a huge deal to me. Here's a picture off the side of the box so you can get an idea of what the normal version looks like, which is the rooted one in the bottom right corner on the box.

Okay, well I'm done nerding out over the additions to my collection now. Hope you guys have enjoyed checking them out! I feel like Steemit is one of the few places where I can actually show these off without coming off as a giant fucking nerd to people, though I'm sure I still seem like a bit of a weirdo to some of you. But, hey, at least I'm not a cannibalistic mime or some shit that is hunting people down over in France. Just think of it that way ;) Thanks for stopping by! Appreciate it!

The Funko headquarters is about 15 minutes from my house :)

Dude.....You need to go visit that HQ in my stead. Rub your penis all over everything while you're there, it's what I would do.

That's probably the correct reaction, so don't worry about it.

You say that, but that image is imprinted in my brain now. I won't ever be the same.

I'll go ahead and say that I know how Vietnam Veterans feel.
