It's a paradox for sure. Build a fulfilling relationship with a friend or loved one and then they get taken from you, sometimes with no warning! My wife just lost her mother to cancer, and would give anything for another 5 minutes with her, so we've been having discussions like this a lot lately.

Maybe this is to light a fire under our butts to make the most of our time with our loved ones, and not get sidetracked or hung up in minutiae and minor disagreements. All we have is each other.
