A Girl Came To Check Out My Plum Tree, I Told Her About Steemit

A girl came to check out my plum tree. She is contracted by the gas and electric company. You see if any part of a tree is touching or pretty close to the power lines, then parts of it has to be cut down.

I told her I was going to cut it down, but she didn't want me to cut it down as the electricity might follow down the limb. Well, I'll just let them do it.

I asked if they can cut it farther down then they usually do. I didn't just want to cut it enough then they come back next year again.

I told the girl that this tree came about cause I was eating some plums from a tree of the last place I lived and spit out the seeds where this tree is now. I spit out those seeds almost 28 years ago.

She had me sign something so they can come and cut the tree. She told me that the big pieces are left behind. I tell her that I like the big pieces as I use them as fire wood.

Then.....

I ask her if she likes to write. She gives me a vague answer. I told her that I mean as in write blogs. Then she said, No. She did not want to write blogs.

Then I told her that there are rewards that writers can get that are paid in cryptocurrency. She said, Like in Bitcoin?

I told her like in Bitcoin only this cryptocurrency is called, Steem. I told her that Steem is worth about $4.25 right now.

She still seems not interested.

I told her that a long while ago Bitcoin was only about 25 cents. Then I asked, Do you know what Bitcoin is worth today? I told her that Bitcoin right now is about $8600.

She was surprised to hear that. I told her that Steem right now is $4.25, but what happens 10 years from now? Could it be possible that Steem could go to $1000 a coin? Sure it is possible since not long ago Steem was like 12 cents.

She was still not interested writing blogs, but was nice about it.

I told her if she visits Steemit.com, my name there is david777111. Maybe she can read my blogs and change her mind someday.

We shook hands and she went on to visit the next house that has trees too close to the power lines.

Wow..Very nice post.

Good effort there, Pal.

I too am often faced with this outcome.. but keep trying. I have succeeded several occasions!

You never know till you tell them.

Yes, that is true.

You did a good thing telling her about steemit. I do too . Even though I'm still fairly new on the site, I tell people about it, but if I find they are not interested then I stop and never mention it to them.

Steemit is such a great place to make friends, make money (lots of it!) and have fun. I don't see why we have to beg and cajole people to join.

In the end, I feel it's their choice whether to join or not.

Yes, we dont' have to beg, just tell them about Steemit. There are many that I told, but it is ok that if they join or don't join cause you see, no matter what I have another blog.

What I really like is when the salespeople come to the door trying to sell me something then I cut them off and try to sell them on Steemit. Then I write about it.
