Every relationship has its own dimensions and geometry. Many times as people, we get carried away by the paparazzi of being with someone that we overtime loose the core essence of being in that relationship.
Every relationship should be built on core values, where values become the base and bedrock for the direction for which the relations will go.
I grew up learning that relationships can only stand when there is understanding between both parties. I am tempted to ask, what is there to be understood?
One of the mistakes we make as individuals is overlooking the real foundations of the relationship. Well, we all are from different backgrounds and the true test of how good our association will be eventually lies in our disposition to accepting others for who they are and where they are coming from. After the knowledge of who they are, it translates to now understanding them anytime and every time they mess up or miss the mark.
Our relationships can stand only when we put an effort of efforts as the case may be.
The picture below firmly describes the input needed for both parties to make any relationship work.
