I'M BACK: Stopping Off At A Waterfall Park

It's great to back in Chile near the mountaneous and forested Pucón after our little trip to Argentina. We decided to stay for the night in a log cabin in Quilaco.

On the way to the log cabin we realised we'd be passing Parque Saltos de Mariman which is a park full of different waterfalls within a nature reserve. We decided to make a stop here to see what it has to offer, and share with you all on Steemit.

The nature reserve has a great view of the river as it meanders down through the forest. It is really easily accesible via different wooden walkways which are really well kept.

Rio Trancura runs through the park

There were a few signs that told us there were guigna in the area. These little cats are part of the leopard family.

It was amazing to find out that there was such exotic wildlife within the park itself, but these cats seemed to be even more elusive than the serval cat that we spotted in Africa. We didn't spot one.

Each native plant is labelled which is really cool for nature lovers like myself. It was good to get more insight into the local plants and flowers.

The river itself with the waterfall is pretty impressive. This park is really understated and when we visited there were no other tourists here.
