Don't Waste Your Pain!
Today I wanna share with you guys a half an hour sermon from one of my favorite inspirational speakers, Joel Osteen. I have been through a LOT in my life, especially in the past 2-3 years and things have only just calmed down a bit. I went through a lot of emotional and physical pain in the past 2-3 years, but God spoke to me through this sermon at my worst, and taught me how to grow through my pain rather than just going through it! I have learned from this sermon that difficulties are opportunities for us to get stronger and develop our characters.
Anybody can give up and let the difficult times overwhelm them but that's wasting the pain. So why waste your pain? Why just go through it? Why not gain something out of it? You may ask me how? Well, the answer is in this phenomenal speech so why not watch it for yourself? It's only going to cost you half an hour of your time! 😊

This was so interesting. As I realized we Romans (Cat.) have a completely different view on this matter.
Pain is to be used to be blended with Jesus's in the Cross, thus being a blessing which includes us in the carrying the cross of salvation carries by Jesus. This is to be also construed as a reflection of the Church being the Body of Christ.
As I said it is a blessing, and not only salvation wise, but also as a means for penance. We know we cannot pay for our sins, but penance reflects the fact that we do realized that we had sins that had to be paid, therefore, we know we deserve death, and pain. So if pain is to be given, it is a reminder of the fact that we, ourselves, do not deserve by our owns means, any better.
