RE: The world in 100 years? (Need your thoughts)

in #life8 years ago

I had the same question myself, and started a series of articles explaining which things i think will be most impacting on the future over the next 100 years. My overall answer was that we will be genetically engineered Transhumans, living with cybernetic augmentations in super organism structures. Article1 Article2

I enjoyed the articles. Thank you.

The question here is do you want that future for this world? Are you transhumanist? Is that something important we should we working towards now?

I agree that some people's bodies will be upgraded and some will get replacement parts in the future. It would be great for this to happen equally across humanity and possibly equality is a big pre-cursor at this point. Since we are all more equal now then if we had some enhanced humans?

The Bruce Willis movie Surrogates uses that same idea you were talking about with us controlling our clones and a bit about how they are perceived in society.

Similarly to before, considering how we treat all other species of animal on this planet now, do animals come before how we would treat our clones, or stay as is?

I'd like us to be treating animals with a lot more respect in 100 years, letting them live and continuing to evolve as normal.

Are we wanting transhumans and clones, or not, is an interesting thought.
