A few people I asked said leaders should..
- Always lead by example
-Serve the people that they lead
-Help others to help others.
-Lead and not boss
-Positive attitude
-Inspire/Invest in your people
-Listening
But surprisingly enough not one of those traits was what I had in mind..
The #1 role of a leader in my opinion is to simplify things for your people.
A lot of leaders have a hard time wrapping their mind around this..but hear me out.
One of my mentors, (Ray Higdon) said something that stuck to my mind like glue.
True leaders TEACH TO TEACH so they can CHILL ON THE BEACH.
What does that even mean?
Instead of thinking people have to go through the same struggles that you did..
What if…you were supposed to go through those things to be able to teach your people the lessons you learned so they do not go through the same thing?
Then they teach that exact same thing you did.
If you are wise and want your time back, you will stop answering questions over and over again for people and instead whip out your phone and record a video answering that question once and for all.. That is the most SIMPLE way your team can teach those same questions to others..
Just clicking “play” on a video.
Now what kind of freedom does that allow as a leader?
TEACH TO TEACH SO YOU CAN CHILL ON THE BEACH.
If you do not digest this concept you will never be able to leave the spotlight and never have true freedom.
You will have a job with your Network Marketing company.
It is a complete mindset shift for those of you in Network Marketing because a lot of you when you hit 6 figures, 7 figures, or a top rank in your company.. It may be the first time you have ever been in the spotlight in your entire life..
That can be addicting but it also is most leaders biggest downfall.
That makes it very hard for your team to duplicate and it never will actually give you freedom because everyone will be coming to you with all their problems and questions.
I’ve learned that the best leaders in Network Marketing make their way from the back of the room, to the stage, then BACK to the back of the room and let their team rise.
Most effective leaders I know really value their time.. This little tip is how you get your time back.
This is amazing. Yes, you have been preaching this to me for a while. I am getting more and more into video recording everything. Thanks for the nuggets. - TEACH TO TEACH SO YOU CAN CHILL ON THE BEACH.
One of the most important traits for a leader, I think, is to learn to speak last. That way, regardless of if you take the advice of your subordinates, at least they feel heard.
"Hey I have this problem, how do you think we should solve it?" Then go around the room and ask the people.
If you had a solution in mind, you can still go with it. At least your team and people feel valued and listened to.
Yes! I agree 100% with you! Just followed your page! I’m a fellow vegan of 3 years 🌱.

I love the phrase teach to teach so you can chill on the beach. Sounds funny but makes a whole lot of sense💪🏾. Thank you
