How To Deal With Negative People In Your life

If you follow me... You know I like to talk business. mindset. and spirituality.
If you are an entrepreneur this is for you...

Who were the first 20 people you tried to bring into your business?

For me it was the same 20 people on loop for the first year.

My family, friends, and coworkers.. I was left super dis-empowered and lost because everyone was telling me I was in a “scam” and that my dreams weren’t possible.

So tonight i’m going to share with you 3 principles that will help you with your negative family and friends.

I learned this recently from the man himself Ray Higdon.

Principle 1:

Most of the time people do not want to be positive or successful.

So stop trying to convince people who don’t want those things to join your business.

That person may not even want a positive or successful life..

Which can be hard to grasp for some because you would think everyone would want those things.

People want what they want. Not what you want says Dale Carnegie.

So stop trying to get people to buy what it is that YOU want them to buy.

Principle 2: When you work with those kinds of people.. understand that it is DRAINING you and bringing you to their level.

You are now playing their game and completely lose your power. They end up winning, because you are re explaining your product/comp plan/ service and to them they don’t care at all and they are ridiculing you without you realizing until later. There is a world out there that needs you to be your most high self but yet you’re giving your energy away to people who drain you.

Even though they are supposed to “love and support you”..They just simply don’t understand and that is okay.

Principle 3:

People, especially your close friends and family.. put you in this little box of “who you are”.

When in reality that is just who they want you to be v.s. who you really are and who/how you show up as in the world.

Some people still try and put me in their little box of when i was 15 or 16 years old.. Now what on earth makes you think I should still be like that today a decade later…? You under no circumstance are required to be the same person you were even 5 seconds ago. It is YOUR life.

Just know they will say “you changed”.

But in reality you are just bettering yourself and the majority of “them” are still in the exact same place.

Which can be tough for people to own up to.

If you really want to have a big breakthrough in your business…

You’re going to have to understand and be willing to lose temporary social status and esteem from people who okay with being comfortable.

If you’ve yet to share this with any family or friends.. I don’t mean to scare you but please just ask to see if they are open first. It will save you so much time.

If they are negative, DO NOT PROCEED.

I don’t care what your product is, that is not how you are going to win that person over. (you may never change their mind) but that is perfectly okay!

Wish them the best regardless. They probably have a pretty tough life already.

If they say yes, try your best to explain and don’t spend too much time over explaining.

“Keep Your Cool”

The best advice I can give you, is do your best not to be addicted to the outcome.

When you approach people like that it gives you the power.

I heard a quote once that I love.. “Your desire to make an impact must be greater than your fear of how you appear to other people.” -Eric Worre

That couldn’t be any more true.

If your family/ friends joined your business right away be grateful.
