I completely agree. I've seen so many claim that "it builds character" and "it's part of growing up" when kids get bullied, and that people need to just "suck it up and grow a pair." It never ceases to amaze me how callous and uncaring people can be, yet get so riled up when someone says or does something to offend them.

If we could all just remember that we each of us have feelings and possibly consider how we'd feel if roles were reversed we'd have a lot less animosity.
