The question jumped out at me from a TV show I was watching earlier this week. It really struck me. Do we have to? "Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." The PURSUIT. That seems to be the part we forget. To pursue happiness. It's almost like we get in these ruts and don't remember that we need to continue to pursue happiness for ourselves. Relentlessly pursue. It isn't just a fancy. It isn't just an antiquated idea. It's what makes life worth it. After all, what is the opposite? Accepting misery? Complacency is our enemy. When is the last time you realized smiling is a habit of yours?
