Filming with a Bull

I've been really busy these last days filming, that's why I haven't been able to enjoy much teem on steemit. But I'd like to share one of those moments where I really felt frightened when I was filming a project.

As an actor, sometimes you have to do things that are hard, difficult, tiring, challenging…and other times you just have to do crazy and dangerous things, like this shot in Colorado a couple of years ago.

It was for a commercial, and I had to play a cowboy, which really attracted me, being someone from Spain. But the challenging and dangerous part was when the director told me that she wanted to have a shot with me facing a bull, who was only held by a rope held by a real cowboy.

I observed before the shooting how much strength the bull had, but I was there sitting in a chair and facing this magnificent animal for some minutes until they got the perfect shot. It was funny because the director was telling me, be relaxed and confident because that’s what my character needed, but, I was just telling the whole crew that I was doing my best, but that it wasn’t easy to stay there relaxed in front of such an incredible and powerful animal.

At the end, everything went well, but the adrenaline that I had during shooting that scene was so intense. At the end of the day, life is about experiences and being able to explain them, so I’m so glad and happy for having been so brave at that moment.

He estado muy ocupado estos últimos días de rodaje, por eso no he podido disfrutar mucho de steemit. Pero me gustaría compartir uno de esos momentos en los que realmente me asusté cuando estaba filmando un proyecto.

Como actor, a veces tienes que hacer cosas difíciles, complicadas, agotadoras, desafiantes ... y otras veces sólo tienes que hacer cosas locas y peligrosas, como este rodaje en Colorado de hace un par de años.

Fue para un comercial, e interpretaba a un vaquero, lo que realmente me atrajo, siendo alguien de España. Pero la parte desafiante y peligrosa fue cuando la directora me dijo que quería rodar una escena conmigo frente a un toro, que sólo estaba sostenido por una cuerda aguantada por un verdadero cowboy.

Observé antes de rodar la fuerza que tenía ese toro, pero estaba allí sentado en una silla y frente a este magnífico animal durante unos minutos hasta que tuvieron la oportunidad perfecta de rodar lo que querían. Fue divertido porque el director me decía, que estuviera relajado y confiado porque eso era lo que mi personaje necesitaba, pero, le comenté a todo el equipo que estaba haciendo todo lo que podía, pero que no era fácil quedarme allí relajado delante de un animal tan increíble y poderoso como ese toro.

Al final, todo salió bien, pero la adrenalina que tuve durante el rodaje de esa escena fue tan intensa. Al final del día, la vida se trata de experiencias y poder explicarlas, así que estoy contento y feliz por haber sido tan valiente frente a esa situación.
