Oh great. I am in the part of the day where I look for resteems and then read this comment. Lol
I try and split things up. 2-3 Original posts a day, and 2-3 high quality retweets. I really enjoy it here. I treat it as a business, so that one day -- it can be my only business.
Thanks for following me back.
Haha all good, man. I have quite a few resteems on my feed too, so no judgment. I am just saying it's not all resteems... I think a mix of OC/shares is really the best way to go.
I understand why some people think of Steem as a business... I am really down with their idea of returning the (steem) power (aka money) to the people/content creators that's discussed in the introduction of the Steem white paper... that said, I am trying really hard not to think of it as a business, instead focusing on posting quality content and finding others who are doing the same. I think that one of the big turn-offs of Steemit right now is that so many things feel spammy, like a sales pitch. Didn't get that vibe from you at all though, hence the follow back... it's a fine line to walk between self-promotion and over-promotion, but I think in the long run that will work itself out. Anyway, just rambling out loud. Catch you around, I'm sure!
Hmmm. I think we are talking about the same thing, but in different ways.
I too believe that value should be returned back to the system and that the quality of the posts and the interaction is what creates value. My father always said that the best way to wealth was to provide value to others, so that is what I mean by treating it like a business.
I don't treat it like a Facebook game. This is a place where I will be compensated well for good quality content, good discussions, and the ability to give and gain wisdom amongst my followers and (soon-to-be) friends.
Are we on the same page, just using different language?
I think we're 100% in agreement! :)
