Greetings, Steemit family!
It's been four days since my last post, but do not fear! I currently have three (okay... four), including a very special new contest of sorts in the works. Stay tuned!👀
Being new to video editing, I'm learning as I go. Once I figure everything out I'll be able to post (hopefully) every day.
Yes, I could post more now, but the quality would be worse... and then I would be sad I couldn't go back and fix or delete it.
I'm a bit of a perfectionist at times. (And at other times, I'm totally not.)😏
I stopped working to have an espresso (we have a sweet little machine that pulls the perfect shot) and to whine a little about how hard I'm working. 😆

Yes. That pic is edited. I got a new app on my phone that is SUPER cool. It's like a mini Photoshop, but user-friendly (sorry, Photoshop, I speak the truth😮).
I'll probably smoke a bowl or do a little dab to refocus too before I get back to my verbal fungus.
No, that's not a mouth disease. 😂
It's a term (that has stuck with me since University) that refers to all the non-words (and sometimes words) that fall out of our mouths in between thoughts. Things like: um, uh, like, so, and well. If you're smarter with your verbal fungus, you simply learn to repeat/emphasize words, rather than filling the air with 'uhhh' (See Ben Shapiro😎 )
I have recently learned I overuse so... a lot. Like.... a lot.
So...😎 I'm trying to edit the majority of them out, but it's starting to get tedious. Hopefully, now that I'm aware I can combat it from the other side.
Okay! Okay! I must get back to work. Though I don't want to leave you COMPLETELY empty-handed...

Verbal fungus - love it lol mine is definitely "so..." and "umm".
It's something that's hard to notice ... until you watch yourself in a video! Lol!
Speaking of verbal fungus... Suppoman says "essentially" about 100 times per video. Extreme overuse of a word can be verbal fungus as well, or even worse.
Lol! He totally does! 😆
In that regard, I say, "To be fair" a LOT too. Things like that I find easier to catch than me saying, "ummm" all the time. 😏
That crema atop your espresso looks amazeballs. That is legit.

Could also use some work on my vid editing skills, tbh. I'm using camtasia, but I do very basic stuff only.

I really love soy milk too, but I needed to cut back. Me thinks it was giving me too much estrogen. 😲
I'll check out camtasia. I'm using Xsplit Broadcaster (for webcam capture) and PowerDirector 15 for most editing. I want to try a few before I buy one. Though, I REALLY like what I'm using now...

Nice! Yes, that is impressive crema esp for a home brew. You must have a very good pump on your machine!
Smart to listen to your body about the estrogen! I know a good deal about estrogen getting out of hand due to it having been one of the factors that drove the cancer I had.
I will have to look into Xsplit Broadcaster. Never used it before. I like Camtastia alright. It's simple enough for me to use at least! lol
Dang! The software you're using MUST be awesome. Though there's a free trial, it'll set me back $250 for everything! I dunno if I need anything quite so fancy... yet. ;-)
I'm using the XSplit cause it came with a free trial with my Logitech webcam (go back to one of my first posts... It's a big one 🤑. A tutorial on XSplit. So you could see what it looks like a little.)
It's very quick and I really like the green screen option. Works like a charm.
It's very good! I'm on an older version, 7.11 I believe. I didn't renew to the newest builds, but the 7.11 works great on Windows 10 and I know how to get around on it. I felt it was worth the cash, but then again I didn't upgrade to whatever version they're on now (10 or so I think).
I will def check out your tutorial! Green screen option sounds great. I've been thinking of suping up my tech game.

Mine are an overuse of "well" and "and".
I'm finding that MOST of my words are verbal fungus! Ugh! Earlier today I found myself thinking and catching my thoughts filled with well... and... so...
I suppose we all have it a little. Except for Jordan Peterson... And Jerry Banfield. I must learn to speak with intention.
