Be Grateful, Be Inspired

Midnight Musings

Laying in bed next to my agonizing wife, as she gains a few much needed, and toiled for, hours of sleep, I can't help but be grateful for our many blessings.

Though sick with a bad case of seasonal allergies, I am grateful that we have access to the knowledge that can help in her healing, grateful for the meager funds necessary to provide it.

She has terrible inflammation associated with the allergies and I have been a long time big proponent of natural cures; luckily we had some awesome local Texas blueberries and I sorted her out with some decaf green tea and local honey as well. Both well known for their anti inflammatory properties.

Now she sleeps soundly up until our young son wakes for another feeding. At which point, maybe I will find some sleep myself. Though awake during the week at these hours due to my employment, the weekends I try to slip into a schedule conducive to optimal interaction with my wife and children. Yet another thing to be so grateful for.

If you haven't thanked your Creator or at the very least, those around you who provide value to your life, if this humble stranger from the interwebs might ask one thing tonight, it's that you would do so.

Thank you for stopping by to share in my experiences and let's work together to create a better tomorrow for everyone by being grateful and not taking the host of opportunities granted us, for granted. Until next time, #carryon don't become #carrion.

@originalworks meme is my own, #anarcho-Steemian stamp is thanks to @nateonsteemit

Sort:

Try some apple cider vinegar. 2-4 tablespoons per glass of water, add honey. It's my favorite drink. Disregard that I haven't drank it in a month lol

Lol I have tried, she hates it. Maybe I'll sneak it in her apple juice.

Lol womp.

Rep 32!!!

Epionage against our wives for their health. Moral or nah? Lol

Muh NAP

Idk.. is it voluntary haha

Not quite. That's a prerequisite for the NAP, yes?

Kinda lol. Can't help someone who doesn't want it, sad as it is.
