BRACE YOURSELVES....ARE YOU SITTING DOWN??

Hopefully nobody has passed out from shock....and I can expect an avalanche of snarky comments from my brother @craigcryptoking......my goats are constantly giving me the once over, and can confirm that, yes, this really is me @buckaroo, checking back in to the Steemit community! The last most of you heard from me I was still pregnant. My beautiful daughter is already two months old. She has completed our family. And of course my son adores her and is enthusiastically trying to teach her all the ins and outs of farm life.

We were away, on the coast for a month for the birth. Our homestead is 4 hours drive from the midwife so it was necessary to pass the last few weeks of my pregnancy closer to her. We really enjoyed the beautiful coast. My little Buckaroo boy had hours of pleasure at the beach and splashing in the waves! But, there is no place like home.

With a newborn he has suddenly grown up and is no longer the baby. He feels it. We feel it. He loves doing chores and never shies away from getting his hands dirty. And everything is done with such enthusiasm!

Whether collecting eggs, bottling goats milk, baking bread, supervising the fencing team or helping the grandparents in the gardens. The adjustment has been special and I am so grateful. The drought continues. But with caution we have enough water to live and sustain our animals and the gardens. We love our home sweet homestead. And are blessed to raise these two precious children in this beautiful corner of South Africa
