From a minnow's view in the trenches I can tell you it's happening on a very broad basis. I have been getting to know many of my fellow noobs over the last month or so and it's having a positive impact even for us. Tons of good people coming in from Nigeria, Venezuela and other places where 1 SBD goes a long way.

Here in Nicaragua I've been telling friends about steemit but so far it feels like explaining bitcoin to a non-tech in the early days. I'm going to keep trying though.
