The Ideal Basic Income

Today I'll be sharing my thoughts on basic income and how I personally think it could succeed. 

What is basic income?

Basically it is a form of social security in which all citizens or residents of a country receive a regular, unconditional sum of money  either from a government or some other public institution, independent of any other income. 

Example Country: Belgium

In Belgium we have a lot of social securities, we have a good healthcare system, we can go to school for not that much money and older people have a montly sum of retirement money.

If we talk about basic income, most people will say GIVE everyone 1500 EURO and get rid of the whole system!

That won't work in my thoughts though..

My thoughts

We should give everyone instead of 1500 euro, just 600. This way we could keep a little of our healthcare profits and keep some of our retirement money. 

Because of this, we could still have all our social needs and have some money to invest in our own dreams. And that is the best thing about a basic income.

Investing in dreams/future

The world is developing and soon robots will probally take over a certain percent of basic jobs. With basic income, people have a chance to invest in their dreams ( start a business, become a famous artist,..) because they can still take care of themselves without a job. 

You could say that some people won't work and I agree, there will be some people that won't go to work with this system. But aren't there such people already with the system of nowadays?

Basic Income is the future for mankind, and the government would profit too, (atleast in Belgium) we have such a big amount of debt. And if you can get a little money of that what would normally be invested in (healthcare, retirement) they can easily built their income back up. 

Afterall basic income is a lot cheaper for them..

Steemit

Steemit is a great platform and already part of a bigger and greater future. We live now in the most peaceful era of mankind. This peace will probally last very long, hopefully. Humans are evolving and slowly we are finally getting together as one specie. 

Together as people we can make a change, people in the past haven't got nearly all the possibilities we got today. We can stop wars, change governments and make this world a more peaceful place.

And steemit is one of those things that helps us with just that. A great platform to share your thoughts and change the world bit by bit.
