Greetings Dear Reader,
.
Hope you are well.
This is a good principle to consider...is it not
Principle...
'No man is more unhappy than he who never faces adversity. For he is not permitted to prove himself.' - Seneca
There are many unknown philosophers quoted here at Bleujay's...however today we do have the name of Seneca a Stoic Philosopher as being the author of this principle.
I think it was Coach John Wooden who queried....'Why do we fear adversity, when it is adversity that makes us strong.'
This thought should give us pause when we do come across circumstances not to our liking....switching to a positive, objective view of the situation of endurance, patience and strength.
It sounds simple but it is not easy.
Thank you for dropping by. ^__^

Kind Regards,
Bleujay

Principles are timeless truths presented here for our ponderance.

Thank you for your kind reply.
So true!
...side note...if one upvotes oneself one is sure to attract the wrong attention. ^__^
Kind Regards,
Bleujay
As wish I like you
How true is that?!?
Seems to be losing favour in today's society and mindset a little. The swing from "Nobody cares, work harder" to "Do what makes you happy" seems to have kept on going for some to believe "I am entitled to not have any adversity."
I can see simplifying, eliminating as much drama as possible, slowly cancelling toxic people who insist on being that way, and choosing your own path. That path has GOT to have adversity on it or it is a cow path that leads to a slaughterhouse and you don't realize until too late.
Let us lavish in our challenges and know that they are making us stronger. Stronger will be a necessity for happiness and control in the future!
Greetings @zekepickleman ,
What a spot on comment, thank you..Well said. ^__^
Cheers to you and yours,

Oh yes....'Meditations'...excellent book!
Splendid thinkers of the past....well worth the time studying what they thought.
Hope you find it! Thank you for reminding me of that one.
Now I am on the hunt myself! ^__^

Life is a compendium of situations to face, it is what gives it essence, a routine life does not allow the development of people, the power to analyze, reflect, decide is what makes strong, and in many occasions allows us to overcome, adversities to overcome and learn from.
I wish you a happy day
Greetings @lupega ,
How very kind of you to drop by.

Thank you @mnurhiver for dropping by with these kind words.
Cheers!
This reflection is very interesting because if we never face reality and adversity we have not experienced anything. I say this because of the experience we had with my sister's illness and seeing what it's like to be in a hospital and seeing what it's really like and getting out of that bubble in which we lived.
Greetings @hjrrodriguez ,
Thank you for dropping by. ^__^
So true...it is the adversities that put us in touch with reality, with who we really are and strengthen us mentally and spiritually.
Kind Regards to you and your family,
Bleujay
You imprisoned yourself if you will not accept differences.😊 Good day.😊
Greetings @fixyetbroken ,
Thank you for stopping by.....sounds like you have a Principle there and a good one. ^__^
Cheers, Bleujay
Thank you.. I'm just applying the principle you shared.😊😊 Greetings. 😊
Greetings @fixyetbroken ,
I wondered if that might be the case....but I hoped you were simply sharing a principle you knew.
Because this principle really means something very different....
The subject is adversity...rough times, disaster, health issues etc...through which we can see how we function when pressed to the limit...are we winners on the other side....are we victorious...stronger than before ...ie mentally, spiritually?
Hope this bit of explanation assists.
Thank you for opportunity to discuss the Principle.
Cheers, Bleujay
Good day @bleujay!
Thank you for the thoughtful reflection and for highlighting Seneca’s principle! It’s a powerful reminder that adversity helps us grow and prove ourselves. I appreciate the beautiful photographs and the insightful commentary!
Have a great day ahead.

In principle, difficulties temper and provide a contrast to the time when difficult times end and I agree with the author of the phrase that you, @bleujay, quoted.
But, difficulties can only be appreciated during the period of victory over them and then life blossoms like a beautiful lily flower, which we cannot appreciate while it is in the embryonic state of a tuber.
Interesting thoughts and great photos!
Have a blessed evening!
Greetings @barski ,
Very kind of you to drop by....appreciate your complimentary words regarding the post. The objective is to provoke thought and provide a bit of entertainment.
Thank you for the analogy...you are correct...there really is little to regard in a tuber... it is the full flowered matured lily that receives our admiration.^__^

Cheers!
