Principles are timeless truths/concepts/proverbs for our ponderance.

Thank you Steemit readers.

A kind note to all new Steemians......good manners and thoughtfulness of others will take you far....as for those who leave notes and links directing members to their site.....please be advised this is not the Steemit way.

I like these icicles in combination with brown autumn colors and blue skies, without the snow. Nice.

Thank you for your kind words @oldtimer.

Appreciate hearing you enjoyed the post....you are correct...no snow.

Wishing you and yours all the best.

Looking forward to seeing your post....something about cold and snow.

I live in Florida and this really makes me miss the cold weather.

intriguing ..
what's that about?
hey! it's freezing there?
stay warm!

Greeting dear @englishtchrivy.

Lovely to have you drop by for a cuppa.

Thank you for your query.

It seems Steemit has become a haven for hypocrisy....with all of the meaningless ...bro....buddy...my friend...salutations. It is one thing when one has built a relationship and quite another to be addressed as such by an unknown.

Just a gentle reminder.

It is just a bit chilly mon ami.....no worries....all bundled up.

Wishing you a lovely evening. Cheers.

sighs... unfortunately I have to agree with you on that !
have you ever been asked by someone whether you could adopt them? I hope not :D

I guess to some people .. they mistake kindness for friendship
and don't realize it took much of that and time to get the F word to ripen :D
and true friendship - no matter how familiar the ones involve gets never breeds content!
flattery isn't needed because the love and bond there is - is felt no matter how far the distance is!!! It's like wine - the longer the better it tastes! and most of all the more careful the ones involved to each other becomes - at least from my point of view and how I walk my talk ;)

btw, have you dropped by @kus-knee? - his mundane art's theme is ICE!!!
perhaps you could use this one!

Thank you for stopping by mon ami... ^__^

No..I had not heard that one...

A lovely way of putting it.......almost prose there....hope you have written it down in your notebook.....yes...how I walk my talk.....and you do.

Oh thank you for thinking of me.....I did.....and hope you find a photograph as well.

You are too kind.

Enjoyed chatting with you.

All the best. A bientot.

The scenery is beautiful and you catch it so we can enjoy the pictures you share with us

Have a good day @bleujay

Thank you for your lovely compliment @xpilar.

Appreciate your kind wishes.

Wishing you all the best.

Cheers.

thanks @bleujay

That is one of my favourite sayings. It is the truest thing in life.

I love the coldness of this. It must be really bitter freezing for them to form and hang like that

Greetings @meesterboom.

Thank you for your kind reply. Oh yes....a true gem it is.

It was a quite a bitter day....that day....the temperatures below freezing for over a week applied to water that comes down the side of the cliffs in the mountains.........a lovely sight that never ceases to amaze.

Wishing you and your family all the best.

Cheers.

I bet it was a lovely sight, we get such variable weather here that things like that rarely happen. Which takes the fun out of winter a bit. One day it shows, the next it rains the next two days it is cold then one warm. It's wild!

All the best to you lass!

Thank you @meesterboom....very much.

A very important principle. Expanding ones horizons and world view will take them far. Great icicles as well... Best to you my friend!

Thank you for stopping by @brian.rrr.

Appreciate your kind comment.

All the best.

Cheers.

They look very sharp!
I would be cautious standing under there :D
But great shots @bleujay!

Greetings @dandylion.

Appreciate you dropping by.

Yes.......one should be cautious.....thank you for thinking of it.

Thank you for your kind compliment.

Cheers.

I absolutely agree with your principle! Good one! ;)

Amazing ice at the rocks of the mountains! I especially like the 1st picture, the ice, the rocks, the trees and the clear blue sky… Wonderful!

I also like the ice in the 4th picture…. Amazing!

Great photos, as always!

Wishing you and yours all the best! ^__^

Thank you for your kind reply @tangmo.

Appreciate you stopping by.

Your kind compliments are appreciated.

And as always happy to hear you enjoyed the principle.

Wishing you and your family all the best. ^__^

Cheers.

It’s my great pleasure! ;))

All the best to you and your family! ;)

When relations are just beginning, a new acquaintance seems surprising, mysterious and interesting person… After learning more about a person, we face his peculiarities and shortcomings… the initial admiration can be replaced by disappointment, unceremoniousness and disdain… Yeah… We always need to look for a balance…
The principle is cold today…)
The photos are adorable! Thanks to them I can feel this great post!
Wonderful work!
My best wishes dear @bleujay!

Thank you for your kind words...loads of them...dear @evgsk.

Yes....sometimes we get ahead of relationships.....familiarity should follow friendship not lead.

You did pick up on the coolness....did you.....yes...in line with the principle.

Appreciate your compliment and kind wishes.

All the best to you. ^__^

Appreciate the reSteem....very kind of you.

I like the way these "daggers" give a double illusion of being both "in movement" (like water) and "frozen," at the same time. And somehow... just the ice against the rock makes it look colder than if there were snow.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply @denmarkguy.

Must say....it was quite bitter....just as you say...'colder than if it were snow'.

All the best.

Cheers.

Appreciate your positive and kind corner of the web. Keep up the good work. Blessings

Thank you for your kind words @rockykelley.

Absolutely gorgeous photos of this icicle garden! I really love the perspective on the first one - it looks as if the icicles are growing a bit sideways! Awesome job! :)

All the best to you.

Cheers.

It's my pleasure!

Cheers! :)

so beautiful pics dear friend

Thank you for dropping by @beautypics.

Appreciate your kind compliment.

Cheers.

Falling into "familiarity" in the sense of taking another for granted is easy to do, which is why it can breed contempt. We all have to work hard at keeping respect in mind when communicating with one another so a relationship doesn't break down.

Your 4th photo, with the icicle is amazing. I hope @kus-knee promotes that in his next contest - yours would be a contender for sure!

Thank you for your thought-full comment @countrygirl.

So true.....allowing respect for another person's space.

Another way of looking at the principle would be with Steemians in mind.......ie those who find calling others ...'bro'....'buddy'....'my friend' .....before making their acquaintance.....letting these familiarities take the lead rather than respecting that all things take time......even relationships with colleagues. ^__^

Appreciate your kind words regarding the photograph...good suggestion....perhaps he will.

Wishing you a lovely weekend.

Cheers.

Oh, yes....re Steemians, I agree. That kind of bothers me as well. I try to overlook it as a cultural language translation thing in most cases. But I understand you.

You too have a wonderful weekend.

So beautiful photos, good work)

Thank you for stopping by @lada94.

Appreciate your kind compliment.

Cheers.

Hi, @bleujay,

I'm glad I spotted your post in my feed today. I get too busy and miss a lot.

I've heard and known this aphorism since childhood, and it has always saddened me. It seems to me that deeper knowledge of others ought to result in greater appreciation for their unique design and complementarity.

I look forward to one day, by the grace of Jesus, live in a universe where every time two people meet and interact, there will be only an increase in mutual respect and in admiration of their great Creator.

Your photos are lovely; are those icicles near you? We were blessed to spend Christmas in New Hampshire and to see some ourselves.

😄😇😄

@creatr

Thank you for dropping by @creatr.

So sorry to hear this principle brings you sadness.

For perhaps a different way of thinking of it......one may appreciate being reminded of this principle in order to give space for a relationship to grow ....letting genuine respect lead a friendship rather than words without meaning lead.

bleujay hoped a premium Steemit example would come to mind.......where some think....calling others 'buddy' ....'bro'.....'friend' without having made their acquaintance online or otherwise.

These are familiarities that are meaningless and unnecessary.

So glad to hear you have had opportunity to see these marvelous sights for yourself.

Thank you for your kind compliment regarding the photographs.

Cheers.

A very beautiful photo @bleujay, it looks like in a mountain that has many stones. Is that true? Thanks

Perfect shooting Method,I like it very much @bleujay

I love those icicles.

I remember when I was a kid, and I would lick those like it's an ice-cream.

I would pretend that it has some kind of flavour.

When I look back at those times, I think that there wasn't a thing I wouldn't have put in my mouth, lol.

This photo has a texture as grating as its color, chilling, feeling of frost and ice through the rock faces stab into the composition. Yet as threating the Winter bites into the landscape, vegetation clings as fiercely as the first snowfall digs deeper into the soil.
